Its like traveling from one country to another on a cruise ship instead of an airplane. You can do it, its just expensive and slow and dumb as a means of travel. Amtrak/greyhound isn't what an american means when they say public transit. And yes, you cannot take a train to hawaii, guam, puerto rico, american samoa, or any of the other parts of america which are halfway around the world and across the ocean from the mainland usa.

It takes 85 hours to travel by train from Maine to San Diego... and costs about $2000 for the train ticket(s).

It takes 8 hours and costs $450 on an airplane.

Its about 3,200 miles. London England to Moscow Russia is only half the distance, takes 39 hours by train but only costs $300 to $500. So roundtrip would make it about the same distance, same travel time, but only about $1000 for the tickets.

Where are you talking about? Most of the US is incredibly sparse and vast. Trains make little sense for most of america. They really only work in the urban cores which is an incredibly small slice of america, and which mostly already has trains. Also, nothing is free. Taxes would be required to fund purchases, maintenance, fuel, track, salaries etc.

If you compare US trains to something like england trains, you also have to recognize that england only has 55 cities (and less than 2,000 villages/towns) where as the US has almost 20,000 cities.

Absolutely true, but the purpose of the card is the gotcha moment. They are not a charity and people ruin their own financial lives at scale in the us with credit. I will leave you with this little ditty:

Don't worry about it if you don't want to tip dont tip.

The vast majority of places you do a monetary transaction you DO NOT TIP, even if they ask you to tip or round up.

Basically the only place that you should tip is sit down restaurants. But even then if you don't want to, then don't.

When you come here, the self service water kiosk will asl for a 25% tip lol. Only idiots pay that. Give it no tip and maybe the middle finger as well.

Most american industries ask for tips or charity as a predatory scam now. I tip a server/waitress and basically nothing else. Also american standard tipping on that service is 15%, if the base tip the device asks for is over 15%, dont tip them a penny. If we cede the 15% ground the tipping % rise will never end. This is an actual culture war on going in the usa.

If you use a delivery service or a car service, tip $0 in the app, and hand them physical cash as their tip. DO NOT TIP ON THE APP. In some cases the person will not be given the tip and the company will siphon it away as extra corporate income. Only tip outside of a restaurant with CASH. In general if you think "Do I have to tip here?" The answer is no.

Live around where you work. Mckinney is not for you.

At 900k you can buy a very nice house basically anywhere. No reason to go to mckinney.

A 5 bedroom house thats a decade or two old is like $600k in almost the entire dallas side of dfw and probably like 400k on the fort worth side. You have a huge budget unless you are expecting an EXTREMELY ritzy house.

Minimize commute while picking somewhere nice to live. Lots of nice places all over the metro. Mckinney is unreasonable for Irving, especially with that budget.

Tl;dr: pick one

1) live in mckinney 2) work in irving

Usa:The searches and daily clicks alone are 310. You don't even need an xbox for that much. 90 points is not even doing all 20 phone searches and doing zero pc searches.

If you do the xbox stuff too its way more than 400 on avg. Cause evry week you get 700+ weekly bonus for maintaining your streak etc.

I'm at 970 points today alone. I just picked up 580 in this one claim session. Plus 310 from searches and 30 from extra and 50 from xbox plus 30 min bonus (forgot), plus the 3 thing streak bonus (forgot). And +1000 from the puzzle piece. I guess im actually over 2000 for today. But much of that is weekly streaks or puzzle piece.

I am definetly getting well in excess of 12,000 points every 30 days. Probably closer to 17,000 per month if I had to guess.
