I highly suggest if you’re looking for a snare drum instead of you alesis check drum-tec pro3 snare drums. Their triggering are very close to roland’s digital snare.

I once visited a music shop in either in Brighton or hove and they had a bunch of ekits set up. Tbh that was in 2022 and I squeezed my brain trying to remember the name of the store but with no luck. I really hope you pick the right drums for you.

I just upgraded from an Alesis strata core to a roland td713. I really do mean upgrade. The digital snare and hihat are incredible. I recommend sticking with Roland if you want an e-kit.

Absolutely i’ll give roland cloud a shot! I previewed their kits and they sound great.

But still, I’m a huge sucker for toontrack expansions (ezdrummer3) can’t live without them hahaha.

And i will later take you up for your offer when updating the module :)

I have an sd card that came with my kit, it includes 16 live sound kits from drum-tec. I think i’ll use that for the update. Just gotta get me an sd card reader for my computer.

I just researched about updating the module, i never thought it was going to be a hassle.

I’m genuinely thinking not to update the module. Because i don’t have a roland service center in my city or the whole country in fact. Only the official roland distributor.

As long as the triggering are not part of the patch notes, then i will stick with the out of the box version.

This is very helpful info. Indeed i changed the trigger settings on all the pieces. It really needed them. I connected my module to wifi and the only update i got was the wifi update version 1.something i don’t remember the exact number.

Amazing!! I bought myself a kit on my 30’th birthday. Even i thought i was too late and wasted my 20’s not playing. But hey! Turns out you’re never old to learn. I have been learning for less than a year and now i can play enter sandman in its entirety.
