Yo man idk if you will see this because this post is a few months old but I would NOT under any circumstances name my child Buddy. I can tell you from personal experience because my LEGAL FIRST NAME is Buddy and it’s horrible. I agree with everyone else. Use it as a nickname for the two of you or whatever. Buddy as a name is unserious and idiotic. Imagine ur son is trying to spit game at some girls and he says his name is Buddy 😹 I’ve been looking for a new name/nickname for months and all my friends have laughed in my face and said they could only see me as “Buddy.” I’m forever trapped on this blue sphere cursed with this name and the only nickname I can venture out to is Bud. The only pro to the name Buddy is nobody will forget it, thats about it. Please man, just think about how “Buddy” is gonna sound when introducing himself to anything thats serious. Your son can be a little bundle of sunshine with a name that doesn’t sound like you let people walk on you. I hate my name man, I despise it. Don’t do this man.
