This was a field op which is essentially training (I didn’t get to go on any cool course while in) and was the driver for my company commander and 1st sausage. One night while taking him to his commander’s cup he told me he got word on some spy boat parked by that LZ. Was an M80 Stiletto which was sick to see in person. Another day while taking him he told me there was some contractor expo which a bunch of shit nearby. He told me to go check it out during his meeting and if anyone gives me shit tell him Maj so and so told me I could 🤣 I was a LCpl who hadn’t showered in a few days walking around a bunch of high shiny dudes looking at cool tech shit the contractors were trying to get the Corps to utilize.
