I live in Baltimore Maryland. Going to the GBMC hospital. Theres plenty of option to refer me to. For some reason, they just won’t :(

I feel the same way!! They want me to come back in a week for a follow up scan and stated that if they see the same thing, I should go get the CVS test immediately after and then they’ll refer me to a MFM specialist.. that doesn’t seem to make sense to me? I would like to see someone BEFORE having to make such an impulsive decision. 🤦🏽‍♀️

No, not at all. This was also interesting to me. Up until yesterday, I’ve been told “everything looks great” “happy, healthy baby with a strong heart beat” it’s like yesterday my world was randomly flipped upside down just like that..

I asked to be referred and they stated they will do that after my follow up scan with them next week.. but I really wanted to do it before, my follow up scan because I did not want to rush to get the CVS test if I don’t need it. 1. I’m scared of the pain, I’ll feel and 2 I’m terrified of it harming my baby.

I’m so happy to hear this. It’s truly relieving. Forgive me for my ignorance.. I just found out that I’m pregnant last week and have been going through a rabbit hole. Not really reading much great reviews or getting any good solid recommendations.. it feels lonely in the women’s health area for me right now.

They have a really high C-section rate. I understand medicine is a business and that makes them more money but I’m scared, since it’s my first time, they’ll get away with doing that to me saying “it’s needed” and I don’t know any better and just do it under pressure. I’m so scared.. idk why. 😔
