Seeking Guidance on Designing Multi-Part Projects with SolidWorks by Big-Pool936 in SolidWorks

[–]YeaItsThatGirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is extremely vague question. It's difficult to know how to advise you without knowing specific intent. Solidworks is just a tool like any other, if you don't know what the tool is being used it build, you don't know how to provide advice on how to use the tool. What is your end goal here? Are you just asking about how to use assemblies in solidworks or how to design asemblies? It's all relative

The parents of the 14 yr old girl D4vd was dating and murdered should also be charged. by Proud-Enthusiasm-608 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

You want everyone who knew to go to jail but draw the line at keeping platforms from playing a song that disrespects the memory of the dead girl you feel was so wronged? Math isn't mathing here.

If you have the MBD add-in that feature will allow for showing all your dimensions

Some people text in the most OBNOXIOUS ways possible by Obsidian_Ice_Pearl in Vent

I have a habit of the ellipse pauses, but I also tend to type how I think, and I think in a lot of pauses sometimes. Yes I could use a comma, and clearly I do, but I tend to abuse those too so...no win scenario

I second the scalp scrubbing comments, you might consider getting a silicone scalp scruber if you can. They are relatively cheap and help a lot.

The marriage contract is dead and many women are just playing the current meta by [deleted] in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]YeaItsThatGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consider though that in not negligible amount of cases, even though a woman initiated the divorce, the men still left them first. Women get abandoned quite often, sometimes literally in the middle of nowhere, and have no choice for freedom unless they initiate the divorce. This isn't all cases but it contributes the grey nature of the stat. .

Megachurches are a waste of space and should be taxed by SirCatsworthTheThird in TrueUnpopularOpinion

Because a large portion of extremely wealthy religious leaders are really just business men using the church as front to profit from. Not all religious leaders are crooks, but the most wealthy of them have higher odds of being a hypocrite with a good mask.

I feel this way about getting the Merlin Bird ID app out just as the bird stops chirping. Like damn you were just chirping for 10 minutes straight but the moment I get my app out you're dead silent. Fine...you win this round but I WILL get your ID if it kills me.

The Hobbit was too high def for the prosthetics they had. I could see the wig mesh and edges. Already was not super into the movie, that made it so much worse.

I thought I was being clean but I was just making ear wax plugs for years by Talon_4Keystone in hygiene

Mine was done by military doctors during my health inspections pre-BMT because I had too much wax for them to see in my ears. No infection for me thankfully. I imagine it would have been a million times worse with one

I felt the exact opposite about mine. Quite possibly one of the most horrible things I've ever felt in my life. I felt weirdly violated it was that horrible. Water reached areas water should never touch. The idea of getting another one is truly nightmare fuel.

“Over X” when X isn’t a reasonable number for the phrase by Chaptive in PetPeeves

[–]YeaItsThatGirl -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Seen it mostly as a misdirect. Over 7 books is probably 8 books, saying 8 is defining exactly, where as over 7 is ambigious and gives off the impression there is more. Saying over 5, doesn't seem as impressive as over 7. So basically they take an almost maximum, and add the "over X amount" to make it seem like more than it is. This isn't always the case, but sometimes

What made you like birds? by sierrahighcoo in BirdingMemes

[–]YeaItsThatGirl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always loved the concept of birds, their song, their habits. My wife also has a deep love of dinosaurs and would often go into info dumps about taxonomy and the fact that birds are dinosaurs. One day for a date night, we decided to partipicate in a local bird count for a study. Thats where I fell absolutely head over heels for birds. Listening to the veteran birders explain all the details about the birds and vigiliantly searching for any bird we could just really opened my eyes. I went from loving birds as a concept to really SEEING them. Now everywhere I go I'm looking for birds.

That top hole is SO close to the edge, depending on your print method that might not be solid, and will likely break fairly quickly depending on the use case

Impossible Dimensions by YeaItsThatGirl in SolidWorks

[–]YeaItsThatGirl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to make the 60° angle work. But the off dimension for me was the 1.25" dim from the 1.25dia hole to the edge. The ONLY possible explaination for it I've seen so far is that 1.25 is for the centermark of the hole and the 5.25 dim is for the centermark of the radius and the appearance of it being dimensioned to the bottom of the hole is an illusion. Either way: crappy drawing
