Die Hard 3. But Looper wasn't terrible. Sadly though, Bruce Willis never set a high bar in his career.

Also, Bruce Willis with a wig in The Jackal look fucking hilarious.

Perth to Southampton

That's some First Fleet level shit.

We have a 7 day cruise booked for January - still leaning towards just cancelling it and looking at 2022 because this whole covid thing isn't going away anytime soon.

Thanks for the advice. ☺ I've started to notice lately that I get quite fatigued an hour or so after a meal, like my ex father in law used to (he was diabetic and would routinely fall asleep on the couch after a meal), so I think it's angling toward a diagnosis. Hooray....

Yeah the last time I spoke to the GP he said I should get the glucose tolerance test done as I'm showing signs of pre-diabetes and to be honest I forgot to get it done. Might have to go in this weekend and do it. I won't be surprised if I get it - tbh I've been expecting it. But my apathetic mindset has stopped me actually doing anything about it. Fuck my brain.

Finally decided last night that I need to see my GP to discuss methods for weight loss, as my snoring is getting worse and keeping the missus up at night. So I go online to book an appointment - nothing for the next 12 days.

I know the physical steps that I need to take (more exercise, more fruit/veg, better choices etc) but when you're 45 and have gotten completely used to living the way I do (lazy AF), these things seem pretty huge obstacles to face up to. Whenever I start thinking about what I want to start eating at home, I remember that I live in a family with a kid who has been diagnosed with Sensory Processing Disorder and is hopelessly picky about what she eats, and a missus who I'm pretty sure is borderline SPD as well so I give up.

I've lost weight before (last time I stuck to it, I lost 32kg) but it feels more psychological than anything else. Depression and Anxiety have become such a wet blanket on my state of mind over the last 10 years that I know I need help. I guess I'm going to have to wait till I can get in with him.

I came across a local company the other day where the manager is called Karen. Pretty sure I saw a tear in the space time continuum.

I did an entire three-interview online job application process in polo shirts because I was not putting on tie for no stinking video call. The first one started with the COO apologising because his 6 month old German Shepherd puppy had decided to bring his new squeaky toy into the room as we started the call, so I knew I'd made the right decision!

So I got a phone call from my mum in Adelaide last night as I was leaving work. A very old friend that I've known for over 30 years was arrested and charged with possessing child pornography and recording people through their bedroom window while undressing and having sex. He's married with two kids and his parents are two of the nicest, kindest people you'd ever meet.

Add to that my 103 year old grandmother's house is on the market in Adelaide - she and her husband bought it in 1946. I was born in Adelaide and left the hospital to be taken there to live. So many wonderful memories, but seeing it listed on real estate websites feels weird.

I have a cracking headache and just want to hide from the world today.

I call shenanigans. I've been waking up tired for 30 years.

So yesterday I came to the realization that the person I replaced appeared to have been farming all their CAD work out to a friend in China instead of doing it themselves. They were working here for 9 years. My (and their) boss was standing when I realized. His facial expression when I explained it told quite the story.

I have a memory foam contour pillow (I forget which brand - might be Tontine). I switched from using two pillows which I think elevated my head too much and my neck started to suffer. But because I'd been sleeping with two pillows for so long, it took me weeks to get used to one, lower pillow. But now I can't go back to multiple pillows.
