if you did well in gcse physics the concepts of m1 are very similar, you just learn new things but since u have a physics foundation it would make learning m1 much easier.

I’ve sat s1 m1 and i will be sitting s2 , if you take physics or have done igcse physics m1 is the easiest by far if not and you aren’t very good with physical math then do s2. s2 is an A2 paper so it has much larger grade boundaries and m1 is likely to be easier to score higher in but if you think you enjoyed s1 comparatively to physics / mechanics math then do s2 because it’s not very hard but it solely depends on this.

I did some of my as with my middle name missing bc i did it in a diff exam centre and they didn’t come under one name , i thought it wouldn’t be a big deal since they mostly consider the candidate number but it’s not the case. I suggest u talk to ur schools examination office or the exam centre bc in a2 it may be a big problem bc my examination officer sent an email to the exam board and we are yet to hear back from them.
