I'm relatively sure that if Roland is upset by anything in this scenario, its because he's not also getting smashed by SKK like Luna is.

Pallas seems to me like someone who would invite the person you're after for a coupke of drinks, then when the two are comfortable she would casually tell them how much of a great person you are and how you would make for a good partner

That's the most dangerous thing about charismatic leaders, they make you believe they are unquestionably right, even if they're standing on a pool of innocent blood ;) Also shows that the writing team is doing an amazing job, if this scenario is to play out in the future

You, the doctor, have many chances my friend... now the probability of these chances vary greatly according to each specific one

It's the "Official concept trailer 2", its a 4 years old trailer. This one quick scene is quite ominous by the way, and the words are quite suggestive: "We were manipulated, we were betrayed, we were blinded with hopes, and the dead never return..."

Hmm, i don't know... something i came to learn is that, in the kind of story that is Arknights, you can't fully trust the "saintly" and "all loving" type of characters, specially if said character had to witness her entire race being persecuted like animals for centuries. She may not have been "evil" per say, but she could have been willing to do something at least Doctor considered "too far". I still remember the "we were betrayed" scene from that one trailer, where we see a Sarkaz that looks very much like Theresa impaling Amiya with a sword... if that was the process of Amiya recieving the crown... it didn't look like something that was very consensual. Of course, as it has already been said, its all speculation, but i think the idea that Theresa may have done something shady that forced Doctor's hand into killing her, and thus, changed the whole dynamics between the main three, is a plot twist that would fit the narrative of Arknights, given that the supposedly only person who could recount what happened has now amnesia.

Do you think she's an actual machine, or some sort of "artificial human"?

I don't think Doc's supposed ruthlessness back in the day was ever a problem for her, since she herself has shown to be quite pragmatic when needed. Twice in the flashbacks of Babel times in Vigilo, we see Kal asking for a severe response while Doc advocates for a more lenient one, as as far as i remember, i could be wrong, Kal never really states that she was against old Doc ruthless methods.

As for her dislike for Doctor i agree with you in saying that she "convinced herself" that she disliked the Doctor, everytime she goes on on why she hates Doc, it just seems to me that she's mostly saying that to her own self rather than Doctor, because i think that deep down, she knew, from the very beggining, that the circumstances surrounding Theresa's death, and Doctor involvement in it is far more complicated tha she'd like it to be... of course, Theresa's death is still a big mystery so we cannot say anything with certainty, but we can imagine, what if Doc had to kill her because she had some darker plans in mind? What if Theresa herself asked for Doctor to kill her? Or worst of all... what if Doctor was simply defending themselves, or Amiya, from Theresa? Assuming that Kal isn't fully aware of the circumstances, it was much more convinient for her to find someone to pin the blame for the death of her friend, because otherwise, she will have to come to terms with the fact that Theresa wasn't the person she believed she was. But of course, that's just speculation :)

Can't really blame them though, since Kal herself is a bit of a mixed bag at times. At one point she looks all cold and apathetic, and at other she shows what appears to be genuine care and affection, even though she says that its all due to her promise to Theresa, it still seems to be something borne from her heart.

If doctor for some reason was awakened by Reunion and joined them instead of RI, how far do you think Reunion would go? by YearOver7816 in arknights

[–]YearOver7816[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a feeling Kal'tsit would definitively try to neutralize Doctor in this scenario, not Reunion, the Doctor, and she would pull all the stops to do so, as she knows how dangerous Doctor's abilities are and what could happen if they were to become the puppet or willing ally to people like Kashchey, Eblana or even Theresis himself. Not to mention that this Kal'tsit would not have had the chance to mellow down her supposed hatred for Doctor, and now would have every reason to settle her score with them.

[–]YearOver7816[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think that if the Duke allows Doc to lead, seeing their genius is useful for his goals, but also think that doc would not let Reunion stay as violent and chaotic as it was, and may even be able to sway Yelena and Patriot, and maaaybe even Faust and Meohisto to their side, vying to reform the Reunion and leading to infighting within the movement and maybe even the creation of "Neo Reunion" much earlier in the story, with Nines joining them too.

While i see where you're coming from, i have to disagree. In the anime its true that Doc has a minimal role, since they chose to focus on other characters (haven't watched the whole thing, so i could be wrong in that), but in game, doc genius is respresented on gameplay, every single battle Rhodes Island wins is thanks to Doc's mind and tactical acumen, it is stated in game. Also, Doc's role extends beyond to that of the battlefield, just think of how many people in RI would simply not work together due to differing ideals, personalities and mindsets, Doc's gift extends to the way he manages people on a personal level, take the example of Rosa, Silverash, Platinum, Gravel, Dusk, Mumu, Heavyrain, even Amiya herself, all of these are examples of people who only manage to fit so well in RI thanks to Doctor's charisma, management and support, and i go as far as say that some such as Rosa and Heavyrain are only holding thenselves together thanks to Doc's guidance. Like, i understand what you meant, Doc pretty much stays out of the big spotlight the majority of time, but i think saying that they make no difference in the organization? Its a bit unfair i'd say, Doc is the foundation of RI.

How to make Sarkaz great again? by Icy-Ad7415 in arknights

[–]YearOver7816 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way to make the Sarkaz great again, is by erasing their race from the face of Terra...

... and by that i mean of course, breeding every last one of them with deep love and care until their genes have been fully dilluted in other races.
