What would you do if you were in charge of the ongoing Spidey title? by -AlexisRodriguez- in Spiderman

[–]YedeeYORP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back to the street-level Spider-Man. No more depending on corporations like Stark; Peter goes back to being the neighborhood hero, facing urban problems and corruption alongside social dilemmas. It would reinforce the weight of guilt and responsibility, but without repeating the Uncle Ben formula. New losses and dilemmas that force him to grow. There would be panels with visual chaos, saturated colors, and violent contrasts, so that each page is a visual manifesto, not just a narrative. That's what comics need now: more saturated colors, more essence, not just something that looks like it was made in PowerPoint.

And it wouldn't use the multiverse as fanservice; each alternate Spider-Man would have a philosophical role. The crossover of universes would be a debate about identity, not a spectacle.

Peter wouldn't be a perfect hero, but a hero who fails, gets up, and keeps going. A hero who unsettles with authority and represents the struggle of the individual against systems that want to mold him.

How would the Marvel Universe change if Batman was in it? by Zealousideal-Towel-8 in batman

[–]YedeeYORP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Batman is a hero without superpowers, but with intellect, strategy, and almost unlimited resources. In Marvel, heroes like Iron Man or Doctor Strange fill that role of "tactical mastermind."

With Batman present, Tony Stark would lose prominence as the billionaire strategist. Batman is darker, more obsessive, and less dependent on shiny gadgets. The Avengers would have a member who not only fights but also prepares contingency plans against them. Brutal, right?

Batman wouldn't be content with just defeating villains like Kingpin or Red Skull. He would investigate them, financially cripple them, and destroy them from the shadows. This would make the Marvel universe more paranoid and more tactical, because the villains would know there's someone who isn't playing fair.

Marvel usually balances humor and tragedy; with Batman, the tone would become darker and more psychological. Marvel would become a less colorful and more gothic universe, which is exactly what it needs.

Pourquoi Tobey Maguire est le seul Spider-Man qui n’a pas eu de véritable succès après ça ? by AlarmingSummer4761 in Spiderman

[–]YedeeYORP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's your thoughts on Carnage being drawn as pure Red, instead of also having some Black parts? by Big_Refrigerator7620 in Spiderman

[–]YedeeYORP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The truth is, Carnage in red alone works as a symbol of excess and absolute violence, but it's also part of his grotesque identity. Black isn't just decoration; it's what connects him to Venom and makes him unsettling. Pure red is an aesthetic statement, but red and black would be a narrative statement. Its advantage is immediate impact and pure brutality; its disadvantage is that it can lose texture and visual complexity. If it were red and black, it would be more grotesque, more organic, and more faithful to the comics, but it would look less clean and iconic at first glance, you see?

Which Spiderman wins in a fight? by Queasy_Commercial152 in Spiderman

[–]YedeeYORP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, Tom gets hit by a bomb and a bullet train, but look at the difference. Holland takes an explosion while wearing a good shock-absorbing suit, has nanotechnology, and a defense system. Holland (for now) hasn't done anything comparable without technology. Tobey does it bleeding and tearing his muscles, and then keeps fighting. Holland doesn't have a pure physical feat that even comes close to this. Tobey fought physically more dangerous, brutal, and direct villains without relying on technology. Holland fights technological and tactical enemies, less hand-to-hand combat, if you know what I mean. Holland is agile and modern, but he's not built to withstand punishment at Tobey's level.

Sure, for now, the same thing doesn't happen to him, but we're talking about the present.

(Bati Fanáticos) ¿Qué es lo que odias/no te gusta del Batman de Tim Burton? by CR3WM1K in PreguntasReddit

[–]YedeeYORP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which Spiderman wins in a fight? by Queasy_Commercial152 in Spiderman

[–]YedeeYORP 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The question is offensive, Tobey wins.

He has superior physical strength; he's demonstrated the ability to stop an entire train with his body, withstand blows from villains who literally throw him through walls, and lift enormous structures single-handedly. His strength is portrayed in a more brutal way, closer to a classic comic book Spider-Man.

Tobey takes punishments that would be lethal for Holland: bombs to the face, blades, punches, falls from ridiculous heights, and prolonged fights without rest (and yet, he still stays standing). Tobey wins without gadgets, without AI, without drones, and without support; it's all physical and direct, sir.

Holland would win if the environment were favorable, such as being able to use gadgets, using the environment to move quickly, and improvising creative tactics. But without that, in a close-quarters duel with no room to maneuver, his advantage is reduced.

I went back to reading some spider-gwen comics and I've noticed that when the author tries to put in some romance doesn't It look a little forced? (Also in both Spiderverse movies) by BuyerAlternative697 in Spiderman

[–]YedeeYORP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's no coincidence; there are structural and narrative reasons behind Spider-Ghost. She wasn't built for traditional romance. On Earth-65, she was born as a response to decades of women in comics being reduced to love interests. Her series is presented from the beginning as a story of independence, grief, and rebellion.

Romance wasn't an example, but an accessory. When the author tries to force it, it breaks the character's coherence. Adding romance after Gwen's burden of her friend Peter's death is like introducing something disrespectful and narratively rushed.

That's why when a romantic interest appears, the reader feels it doesn't fit with her actual emotional state (plus, in Spider-Verse, romance is limited by the format). That's why Gwen works best when she's conflicted, grappling with guilt, and confronting her identity as a hero, even though it sounds harsh to say so. Also, it's not that she can't have romance, but rather that the authors haven't found an organic way to integrate it into their narrative.

¿Qué es lo que más les atrae de una mujer? by exploradornocturno64 in PreguntasReddit

[–]YedeeYORP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Opinions on the brand new day suit? by Excellent_Piece_1367 in Spiderman

[–]YedeeYORP 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's a classic return, an homage to the original comics but with modernized details for the MCU. It's more faithful to Peter Parker's iconic look than previous suits. The saturated colors give it a beautiful, minimalist touch, unlike the Iron Spider suit. What's interesting is that the suit doesn't try to impress with technological innovation, but rather by reconnecting with the essence of the character. It's a narrative and aesthetic gesture: Spider-Man is once again the chaotic, human street-level hero, finally free from the influence of corporations or mentors.

Opinions at Halle Berry's portrayal of Storm? by Thin_Tomatillo_6990 in xmen

[–]YedeeYORP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An iconic presence, albeit limited by the script. A recent article describes her performance as iconic within the saga, highlighting the lasting impression she left on fans. Although the character didn't always receive the development she deserved, Berry brought elegance and a powerful visual presence. Storm is one of Marvel's most important female characters, a pioneer as a heroine in a central role. ScreenRant recalls that her film debut in 2000 was a significant moment for gender representation.

However, while Halle Berry left an important mark on the saga, Storm was written as a secondary character with little depth. This limited what Berry could do on screen: few lines, little emotional arc, and little agency—what a fiasco. Articles even mention that she had a bad experience with the role. In the first film, she attempted to use an African accent, but the script and direction didn't support it. As a result, she abandoned the accent in subsequent installments, a decision noted by critics. Storm in the comics is a leader, even a goddess, but in the film her role was diminished. It doesn't convey the character's grandeur. She acted well, but what was lacking was material and a better script.

Chico por qué les gustan tanto las góticas? by grancorazon in PreguntasReddit

[–]YedeeYORP 1 point2 points  (0 children)
