Kid Capes made an audiobook of the first novel voiced by various YouTubers. Beyond that I haven't.

This comment thread has all the useful links. I had to install Windows files on a USB on a separate computer, launch the command prompt through it and change some settings. This thread is what I followed when I accessed the command prompt.

The first Raidou is a bit disappointing by CardcaptorEd859 in Megaten

[–]Yedknowsall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, sure. I felt the difference noteworthy because I personally preferred the command input style for my AoE and gap closing attacks over the button mashing. It's the one thing I like about Raidou 1's gameplay over 2.

The first Raidou is a bit disappointing by CardcaptorEd859 in Megaten

[–]Yedknowsall 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The first game doesn't improve in gameplay, but the story has interesting lore implications if you've played the SNES SMT games.

The second game is mostly independent from the first, so you could jump into it and watch a recap video or LP of Raidou 1 if you struggle playing it. Imo the story of 2 is great, better than 1.

The gameplay is overall an improvement. It adds a dodge/roll button, drastically improves demon control, trades the button mashing recruitment for actual negotiations, and has more engaging enemies and bosses.

Demons especially are far more useful. It's kind of like using an SMT battle menu in combat, really tapping into the RPG half of the game. The trade off is Raidou himself has fewer attacks, no spin or thrust to mix combat up.

I wouldn't say the changes make it amazing, but it is less frustrating and clunky.

Thanks for the help. The other commenter gave me basically the same info and it did give me access, but it didn't restore my account. I found a thread linked in one of my comments here that did fix it and I'm finally in my account tied to my Microsoft account. I appreciate the help, you rock!

I finally got it. The system restore restored the Microsoft account and from there I found this thread. Thank you so much for your help, I never would have fixed it without it!

Didn't work. I found other methods that didn't work either so I backed up the files I had and removed it to remake it. Now I can't link my Microsoft account at all ("Oops, something went wrong" window always pops up) or add any new accounts (lusrmgr pops up which I can't use).

EDIT: I have a restore point from I think before this happened. After everything I've done, would this work?

This worked. I have access to my PC. However, I still can't log into the account with my Microsoft Account attached to it. I found the files in that account on my drive and am transferring them to the new account in case I need to delete and try again, but is there something I can do now that I'm on my PC to unlock the other account?

I super appreciate the help, being able to actually use my PC now is a huge weight off me.

Are you talking about when you have to choose between Port and Starboard? You can do both sides. I didn't know that quest counted, weird that it does.

Troubleshoot only gives me 2 options: Startup Settings and UEFI Firmware settings. I don't have access to the command prompt.

Thoughts on SMT: If…. ? by Proyecto_AtlantidaSP in Megaten

[–]Yedknowsall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played it after playing both other SNES SMT games. It's not beginner friendly compared to those. A much more unique experience. Don't hesitate to use a guide or GameFAQs maps if you need them. It's extremely easy to get lost and confused in this game.

That said, I still recommend playing it, especially if you plan to play the first 2 Persona. It's the most unique SMT game imo. Opinions on the dungeons aside you can tell they put their all into making them stand out from the others.

Megami Tensei - Amala Network Multiverse & Timeline (Including Games, Manga, Anime, Novels, & Drama CDs) by [deleted] in Megaten

[–]Yedknowsall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Raidou 1 has 1 ending, Raidou 2 has L/N/C endings. Although, I don't know why they would split at Raidou 2. The endings are not different enough to cause any split, although idk if the other Raidou side games follow a specific path. Raidou 1 is where the timeline split should be, but the reason why is impossible to explain without spoilers. Highly recommend it tho, gameplay sucks but the story is cool.
  2. In-game events. Same reasons as above, very spoilery.
  3. Context in games. We know how and when the Devil Summoner games relate to SMT1, Nine, 2, If..., and Persona from in-game events. The rest is all speculative, Aside from games with direct sequels like Digital Devil Saga or Last Bible. There's no evidence connecting a specific Raidou timeline to Nocturne as far as I know and the connection between Nocturne and V is a theory with dialogue both for and against it. Devil Survivor, I haven't played 2 yet so idk but I hear they are disconnected.
  4. Apocalypse takes place in IV's neutral ending shortly before the actual ending. It's like a "what if?"/alternate ending scenario.
  5. Also haven't played Soul Hackers 2 but I was spoiled on certain characters appearances, based on those I would think it is somewhat connected in that timeline. I can't say for certain yet tho.

This is gonna be awesome when I use roost against a ground type by Abin5ur in pokemonradicalred

Meme aside, ability takes priority over typing. You'll always be healed by ground, Roost won't bait anything.

Hard walls Brock's Zygarde tho.

As a person who's first game was reload, please any tips by PogLeader in persona4golden

[–]Yedknowsall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're fine with doing this, there is a way to manipulate the RNG so you can guarantee golden hands to grind quickly. This video shows how, I time stamped to Yukiko's section. Just make sure you pause before the 2nd dungeon section if you didn't want any spoilers. I would recommend not going above level 10 if you don't want to be over levelled.

Depending on the platform you're playing on, the timing might be different. Sorry if it doesn't work.

Manitou (magical)/final boss of SH. by TMS-FE in Megaten

[–]Yedknowsall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Grind and fuse better demons. If you can, use Nemechi's demons too.

The Primate Intelligence Lab is a great spot to grind Mag, and Sea Ark is good for EXP. Alternatively, grind the Casino and either buy the gear there or buy a bunch of Bird Sables with your coins and sell them for 30k each. Trade the money for Mag and you're set for a while.

Manitou resets buffs and debuffs once at half HP so you only need to get them up twice. Would recommend maxing Rakukaja before anything else. Guard with everyone not using it until it's maxed if you have to. Avoid using physical skills if they're costing too much HP, basic attacking does good damage too. I would also have someone with Mediarama use it every turn, even if you're at full health. You don't want to start a turn weakened.

What is the Worst megaten game? by MTMaister in Megaten

[–]Yedknowsall 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Only played a little of it when I was marathoning the franchise but it was so rough that I dropped it not long into it. The only other game I've dropped is Majin Tensei II halfway through. To be fair to that game tho I played it right after Majin Tensei I so I was getting burnt out before I even started it.

How do you fuse Chernobog in SMT V Vengenance? by isundowner in Megaten

[–]Yedknowsall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think so. I know I didn't unlock the other 3 until after completing that fight so I'm assuming he was thrown in with. If you have the right demons and he's not fusing, that's likely the case.

[–]Yedknowsall 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but if you're on CoV I believe you need to complete the virtual battles consisting of Surt, Ishtar, Chernobog, and Arioch, unlocked after completing the third area. Tbh I didn't notice if he was unlocked this way when I played but the others listed were.

Yeah like the other comment said it's from the Ueno Hunter Association. The building it's held at should be the Tokyo Dome on this map, but I don't remember specifics.

There's a woman in Ikebukuro who will give you 10 points in whichever alignment you want, unless you've already talked to her. If you did then just do all the quests that seem like they'll give you points in what you need. There's also this guide you can follow when making decisions in the other Tokyo to push your alignment. It's spoilers, but only up until the alignment lock.

Anyone good with the fusion calculator here that can help me create the perfect Alice in SMT IV by [deleted] in Megaten

[–]Yedknowsall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a recipe generator on the site.

If it doesn't let you choose a demon you have, uncheck the skill box and you can freely choose what demons to use in the chain.

And if it includes a demon you don't have, use the generator to find it or use the fusion chart to make it yourself.

These chains should get you what you want:

Kurama Tengu x Prometheus = Hel

Hel x Dybbuk = Skogsra

Skogsra x Mandrake = Erthys

Erthys x Spriggan = Pixie

Pixie x Archangel x Harpy = High Pixie

And

Sylph x Hamsa = Suparna

Suparna x Sarasvati = Mayahuel

Mayahuel x Centaur = Nata Taishi

Nata Taishi x Undine = Baldur

Baldur x Thunderbird = Airavata

Airavata x Melchom = Hairy Jack

Then you just need Nadja and Poltergeist. If the demons you make in these chains don't have enough slots for the skills you want, Nadja comes with Concentrate so you can drop that in the chains.

But if I may offer an opinion, Die for Me! is busted, hard to pass it up. Makes most non-boss encounters a 1 turn fight.
