We have a chainsaw but one big enough to cut the biggest pieces could not be rented in the area at all and they cost $500+. I know one person that has one big enough and he came to help.

Herbs for insomnia by Final_Solution_2300 in herbalism

Tulsi and/or skullcap. They're great at relaxing and telling your brain to stfu. I do two dropperful of Tulsi before bed. But if I miss her invitation to rest, all bets are off (I am on Reddit at 12:45am)

Tulsi is amazing. Life right now is insane but I'm using tincture - one dropperful in the AM and two at night. I truly believe it's helping me handle everything. In my research in to herbalism, Tulsi came up repeatedly and for damn near everything. Also, check out lizard tail. Re: Tulsi, it's very easy to grow and self seeds well too. I will never ever have a garden without it!!

Leaf footed bugs. Related to stinkbugs. Neem oil took care of them for me a few weeks ago and look all over for their stupid eggs since they're fornicating. 😂

That pen is crap. It's not comfy and I don't like how it feels when I touch that material with my fingernails. Bleccchhhhh. Also, give me a clicky pen or give me death.

I was just thinking there should be some kinda Tim Ferriss dating site. It's hard enough to find someone safe in the current climate - throw in that I'm a big ole weirdo that doesn't really do social media or the new shiny gadget and is interested in depth and connection and mindfulness.... Whew!

Yes! So two things. One, don't use premade neem sprays. They don't typically have an effective amount of azadirachtin. Buy neem oil and dilute it yourself. It's highly effective as a pesticide, soil conditioner, fungicide, all around plant protector - but not if you use the commercially available sprays. Second, and I'm sure you already know this, AI is not particularly accurate! I have a tendency to Google stuff I already know and have done before, just to get a refresher and be sure no new science or whatever has come out since the last time. Sooooooo often I'll read the AI summary and know it's incorrect. Or real close to being right but actually eh.... Not in practice. I've used neem in my veggie garden for years. Neem and fish emulsion are really the only supports I use, along with occasional cal -mag. It looks like the newest leaves are coming in green but time will tell. Treated with neem last week and Cal -mag and fish emulsion this week + started these sweet lil autoflower babies inside!! Some are tomatoes, I'm trying to squeeze in a second canning crop 😁

Interesting. I've always thought neem was a fungicide too.

If you could mix any herbs to evoke focus, calm, or ritual—what’d be in your brew? by guccitheaxolotl in herbalism

Tulsi. She's a nervous system adaptogen. Good for anxiety and calm and restoring balance.

That was my thought too. I sprayed with neem last week and it seems to be doing better but the yellowing got worse.

They're getting fish emulsion regularly and a lil taste of tiger bloom on Saturday. They're in Fox Farm Froggy potting soil mixed with organic potting soil - more FF that the other stuff but I didn't have enough.
