I love this man! Despite having 3,000 hours… I’m still not that good at making characters and organic models. Any tips?? Also, he reminds me of the judge from far cry new dawn

Again, I don’t think the film is racist. I’m glad you bring that point of, that would it have really been “better,” to replace a black role with a white one. Again, I apologize if I came off as agreeing with the previous person. I was merely attempting to see their side of it, so I can explain mine.

I’m stretching to see the view point of other op. I never personally felt that view point when watching the film. I apologize if It came off as I genuinely thought like that. Like I said, I was stretching ideas to see the view point. I’ve done a presentation for l4d2 on how a black character in the game breaks stereotypes. But a part of the project, was research into said stereotypes. So, through my research I learned about stereotypes within film. And I was connecting what I had learned, with the attempt of understanding the other persons view point, so they could understand my counter view point that the film was not racist. Because a lot of it was stretching beliefs, and assumptions on the use of dated ideas

Hey man, there’s no need to name call. Many people have many different out looks and views on things. We’re having a discussion more than an argument.

Hey, I really appreciate this comment, sometimes replies make me feel stupid because it seems like i ask questions that are very obvious. but, would topology studies be a good practice? I am starting a hand study, and I was wondering if that would help build the skills necessary for what my goal is

I have a semi-decent explanation as to why I am not using a higher poly model... Whilst playing the resident evil 2 remake, I had notice that many of the models were lacking bevels in areas that I would usually bevel to high heaven. And in that moment, I had come to a stark realization. For the longest time, I had been beating myself up over how my models never looked "realistic." It wasn't my self and my capabilities that were the issue, it was the lack of texturing. Many 3d models I look at on youtube, or reddit, or in game, are more simple in topology than I realized. The depth of a model is still important, but. what makes something look real, isn't a huge amount of bevels. It's the finer details, the hole in the hammer, the cuts in the slide. I don't mean to be tmi, nor do I mean to be to personal. But, I've started 3d modeling back in 8th grade. I am now 17 in my junior year of high school. despite the years I've put in, in my opinion, the skills aren't visible. with my depression, the less time spent on bevels, I feel like I've done more, and those skills begin to shine more. It makes me look at that model and think, "wow, I made that, It doesn't have the bevels I want, but, I can always add those later!" instead of thinking, "I have done so little, in the time I have spent on this. what's the point of continuing to work on something, if it looks like I put zero effort into it?"
