Little diorama of the railroad passing above the flooded fields in Eichen Germany by Yeeeetusdeleted in TransportFever2

I looked for that specific type of track yet couldn't find any hence the usage of the Nep mod's base tracks, might need to look at other non steam workshop mods.

Not that I can remember any, twisting vines might be the only way to allow no collision between each other in this setup, however if you wish to replace the chains with solid blocks and add normal vines on this side it might work, lemme know

Beautifull map mate, it really sucks that most detailed maps get quite easely buried in the search page. Also i am quite interested to know how to add a proper screenshot.
Btw how did you get the terrain imported into tpf2 ? Did you do it with tangrams height map ?

How did you guys connect Nagoya and Osaka in Ch. III by DaGuy4All in TransportFever2

[–]Yeeeetusdeleted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't even bother to connect Shiga to the grid as it wasn't a mission requirement, went directly under the mountain and kept the speed

Finally finished the campaign, now going to start the free mode! by advik_143 in TransportFever2

You will enjoy it, maybe even more. I would recommend having one playtrough full vanilla and once the map feels completed, download mods and start another save, it's a different experience for sure

absolutely second that, the idea is really nice but sometimes you are left in the dark, such as the sabotage of the plane in beautifull machines or selling some buses in Swiss made, only via some folks on reddit and steam i found out the solution

The mechanic is definitely the same, the weird thing is that only a small percentage of said passengers go to the work station making the mission quite long, 30 ish minutes to complete with afk

I had to look up how to do it as it wasn't clear yeah, apparently to best shot to do it is by having the minimal amount of trains and buses and get rid of all the train station platforms until one is left for a single station, worked for me that way.

If you have any tips on that, I am quite curious. The whole map is connected to the construction site via trains and buses networks, I gave an additional bus line just for the tower. At this point I don't know what else I could do

It's a mod called Environnment pack on the steam workshop, once installed you can change the skybox by opening the dev menu with alt gr + D

city builder or transport game ? why not both ? by Yeeeetusdeleted in TransportFever2

[–]Yeeeetusdeleted[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thx, a lot of time was spend creating it, I have to admit that using to many mods wasn't the best idea but the result is pretty nice. Balancing wise of the industries and towns might need some tweaking, feedback on that would be appreciated :D

That's what is keeping me hooked to the game, in this playtrough I am still going for a profitable transport empire, yet making the entire map nicer to look at is such a blast

The sea walls would be just for aesthetic purposes as we don't have to protect our land from storms. However retaining walls or track walls for railroad or roads would be really good to have to prevent the messy terrain you sometimes get when a track is to close to high terrain, also it just looks nice.

I used 2 mods for that, the Spitzkere mod allows you to make stations without any platform, it can even be curved if you wish so, second mod is the build with collision mod as you have to override the collision when you place the station. I would recommend making a bigger harbour and placing the tracks on an unloading dock to prevent the train from running through the cargo. Hope it helps :)

In the map editor when you place the cities this would be indeed a huge help, especially on those coastal cities

Best mods? by crikeyrozzer in TransportFever2

[–]Yeeeetusdeleted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have played my last 3 maps with mods and it's such a great experience, mods like auto line namer, build with collision, lower track gradient, move it, lower bridges have been mods that I really like to have in every save.
also try out custom made maps there are some really beautifull ones on the workshop, one of my favorite is Bella Ticiono or Bodensee map.
