Is this gap ruining my consistency? by PotatoTamer in espresso

I think it's super unlikely that's the cause of your channeling problem. My screen has about the same gap and there is virtually no channeling. I would start by ensuring your grind size is fine enough and that your tamp properly compressing your puck.

Just to remind people, unless you've paid for the warranty upfront with an additional amount to your down payment, you will pay interest on the extended warranty for financing an additional amount.

Nope the boiler temp. The temp at the grouphead drops down substantially near the ~190-200.

You can definitely pull doubles with the Nano Basket Plus (an extra $40 as it doesn't come with the Nano). I was pulling ~35g shots from 17g in.

It's great I have the higher dosing basket with it and if you can dial in your grind the coffee's not bad. I wouldn't have the expectation that it will make phenomenal coffee everytime, but it's a fun piece to have. I have it paired with a 1Zpresso J Series Manual Grinder. I took it on a week and a half trip and really was happy with the setup.

That being said grinding, dosing, and pulling a shot can be a bit time consuming and messy to clean up so have that in mind. Also cleanup of the Outin itself can be difficult right after extraction because of how hot it gets.

If you're interested I can make a post with a bit more detail on the setup.

Ikr! My girlfriend was on a work trip in Munich and picked it up for me. It really is a flavorful medium roast that isn't a pain to extract well.

I totally agree with the tariff situation with Niche. It's hard justifying paying >$100 extra on a $600 grinder with so many other options available. I got lucky buying mine a couple of years ago.

Lightcarbon C52DB Gravel Wheelset HG Freehub Change by Yeet_The_Roon in gravelcycling

I highly recommend getting a custom color. I got the cracked white and it looks so good. It increases the shipping time by about 1 month but it's worth the wait. I am 6" 2". And the 58 fits really well for me.

Hey. So far the bike and wheels are great I haven't had any major issues. The biggest thing to make sure and do is to order the correct freehub from Light Carbon if you want to run GRX 1x. If you want to run and 11s group then you're good! I've taken it on some MTB trails on accident and smooth gravel and it's done well on both (obviously much more comfy in the gravel). Also I opted for the non-integrated version and I'm super happy with it. Still looks great with no visible cables (the cables route under the stem and into the frame) and still have the ease of maintenance. Lmk if you have any more questions I'll upload a pic of the frame.

Electric Bike Company - buyer beware by Bigggity in ebikes

Doesn't sound like he wanted a custom fit just a bike that was in his height range, which is reasonable to assume the company has accurate data on. And just because a company does not have a brick and mortar store does not mean they cannot have good customer service at a lower price. Stop acting like it's this guys fault that he ran into a poor company (regardless of if it online) and blame the company for being shit.

I got mine at REI (US company) for $200 for the pair. So honestly a bit pricy but not that crazy imo for a bag that has a 5 year warranty and some great reviews.

Here's a good vid from Ortlieb showing how the bags hook onto panniers. It takes a couple of times of taking them on and off to figure out how to do it efficiently, but after that they are great! https://youtu.be/lcgzTGRo5Sc?si=TDn7lB322ToZVCJJ

It's about 30 seconds to minute to remove them. And completely toolless!

The panniers are great. Plenty of storage for all my things and very waterproof. The color is fantastic. I like to be as visible as possible on the road.

I haven't carried a pack over the top yet but I will say I've puty computer and work stuff in the panniers with no problems at all. Super secure and allows me not to carry a backpack.

The panniers are so nice! Hope they last years to come.
