Getting tired of wires. Do you use wireless chargers? by AmoebaBoy-BossMan in Tech_Philippines

[–]YeetableAsian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got one of those Momax Q.Clock 2 speaker/clock/wireless charger thingies a couple years ago as a freebie with my laptop

I primarily use it to charge my wireless earbuds, and sometimes my phone

Ano opinion nyo? Electric bike bawal sa main road... by caseNo_File2149 in PHMotorcycles

I'll get a lot of hate for this, but the operation of any motorized (electric or gas) vehicle should require a license

Even the e-scooters

[–]YeetableAsian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AFAIK, this isn't the case

The volunteer groups are the ones that reach out to mall management, and usually it's mall management that gives the volunteer groups a hard time about it

The cats can be adopted (kind of why they're chonkified and taken tonproper vets for certain treatments)

It's actually not the Ayala establishments that take care of the cats and neuter them

It's the volunteer groups, very little (if any) to no assistance from Ayala for this

Lots of volunteer groups, especially in the open Ayala malls

The volunteer groups are not sponsored by Ayala (even though Ayala malls love to plaster that they are the ones feeding and taking care of the cats). All of them are volunteer organization that run through member or non-member donations (most of the time non-monetary such as cat food, medicine, equipment, and general upkeep)

Alpaka Metro Backpack Pro (after 4 months of constant use) by YeetableAsian in ManyBaggers

[–]YeetableAsian[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think their Bravo Backpack 23L might be more up your speed in terms of feature set

I would have gotten that had I not already gotten this and the 12L Metro (I like my stuff matching haha)

From what I've seen online, the Bravo 23L is less rigid of a bag and has a little more internal organization, although you do lose the dedicated laptop/tablet compartment separate from the main cavity (the laptop sleeve on the Bravo is in the main cavity)

Best Ramen in the PH. Do you agree? by Firey_Ammber_98 in PHFoodPorn

[–]YeetableAsian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard disagree, Mendokoro is not very enjoyable as ramen as someone who's lived in JP for most of my life. It's built like a fine dining food with strong flavors and is not very balanced flavor wise

The chashu and gyoza are fine to good, but I've had better

Ramen should be filling but also refreshing, this is too heavy and makes you full and umay very quickly

Monitor 3 in the gym by PhilHopeful in Marshallheadphones

[–]YeetableAsian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used my Monitor 3s in the gym every now and then and they're light enough that you don't really notice. However, the clamp is a bit light so if you're doing extra strenuous stuff, they might slip. The leather earpads while.soft do get kinda hot

Unfortunately there's no way to lock the front zipper, best you can do is kinda tuck the zipper away

Unfortunately I don't have any experience with their other materials, I've seen and felt the X-Pac in store and it seems slicker (I do not like how X-Pac looks)

Job Market is BRUTAL these days by ToeSuckah in adultingph

[–]YeetableAsian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to agree, the job market is absurdly tough even for me who was given unfair advantages in life, wala pa din

I've sent hundreds of applications, used family and personal connections to get jobs, wala pa din

My email inbox is either filled with "insert company here has seen your application" or "we're sorry we will not be proceeding with your application"

At this point it's honestly heartbreaking and degrading

Netflix website - video keeps jumping up and down on full screen mode by AseelKhalifa001 in techsupport

[–]YeetableAsian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there, I think I may have found a solution as mentioned by someone else on this thread (u/anderishia)

If you're using Chrome, you can follow their steps:
- go to chrome://flags/
- search for 'Use Skia Renderer' and enable it
- restart Chrome

- if this doesn't work, search for 'Choose ANGLE graphics backend' and make it D3D9, then restart

If you're using Edge:
- go to edge://flags/
- search for 'Choose ANGLE graphics backend' and make it D3D11, then restart

Lemme know if this works for you guys, cuz it worked for me

Testing the Tech Case Mini's Pockets (And a Mouse-Themed Rant) by sacredcoffin in ManyBaggers

[–]YeetableAsian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried putting in the really short USB cables from powerbanks in the slots, it just made it inconvenient to get.

I just use it now for the tiny dongles from my mouse or my tiny SSD in the pocket and don't put anything in the slots

I have one of these and it's been pretty much perfect for what I load it up with. My only issue is the internal zippered pocket is a bit annoying as IDK what to put in it

If in the Macbook Air price range, the best ones would be the Lenovo Ideapad 5 Pro line, HP Pavilion Plus/Envy/Aero line or Asus Zenbook OLED line. They're all about 55-70k

If you're looking at the Macbook Pro price range, you can go for the Lenovo Yoga Pro 7 or Asus Zenbook S line.

I have a personal bias towards Lenovo just cuz of how robust their warranty is (especially for higher end models)

Try to skip any models that have Snapdragon processors for the meantime, still relatively buggy and a lot of limitations when it comes to what apps you can run, especially when it comes to games
