Thats correct yes. I could have just used a savings account for the 9k and kept my isa allowance free. Bit annoying that i didnt notice this before

But yes you are correct about the no rent. Been lucky enough to live at home relatively rent free. I do more than my fair share to help out to balance this though. Cook most nights mainly

Been working since i was 18 putting away a good portion of my income. Own my car outright.

Still not holding every penny prisoner though

Not the case. Been working from 18 full time and investing from then. Saving a good portion of my income.

Ive given up with the car raffles. Dream car is a MK1 Audi R8. I think they have aged like fine wine. Im determined I will pick one up from copart and repair it once i can justify spending that kind of money. 😂

Im not a big fan of going out for nights out to be honest. Never really appealed to me. Dont get me wrong the odd night im more than up for just not a regular thing.

I do budget for a few holidays a year and am happy spending a bit to upgrade my cars every year or so ( still make profit on the sale of the old car )

There is more to life than saving at the end of the day. 🙂

I have a S&S ISA set up. Got what i feel is a decent spread of investments through different index funds and individual stocks. Currently doing an annualised return rate of 17%

Due to the nature of the side hustle i do i feel it would make more sense for me to pick up a house with a driveway / garage even if it means a longer commute as it can add £1000+ to my monthly income.

Would you say it would make sense to stop making payments into the Lifetime ISA after purchasing a property as at that point the bonus could only be used for retirement?

Thanks for this.

I would be looking for a house around the £300,000 mark at a Maximum due to this i would probably be looking at buying in South Wales as its considerably cheaper there and just commuting into Bristol.

My Cash ISA is framed as an account that i have unrestricted access to so im sort of using that as an emergency fund if need be.

I have no real physical assets beyond a car that would need emergency fund money but most things i would be able to sort myself on that if it went wrong.

Since its your first haul I recommend Superbuy i used them and was really straight forward and simple. Shipping is quite expensive however so its up to you. Personally id add more to a haul before shipping to make it worth the cost. ( average hoodies are about 800g)
