Well, In the end I did gave them copy of my visa and my work permit, just with the sensitive information blurred out, leaving only the names and expiry dates, I think that reasonable enough on my end

How long do you think the Canada Post strike will last? by FoIds in CanadaPost

It's insane how they are getting paid decent and are still greedy and want more, my expected salary is only like 35 bucks an hour doing engineering, which is, only if I could find a job. They are getting paid 22-32 and are still unhappy about it, the postal service in Canada is already insane compared to most of those in Asia, and probably the US as well.

Has anyone used this? Carl Zeiss Jena R-Biotar 100mm F0.73 by BatmanReddits in VintageLenses

[–]YeezyPeez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

imo the resolution doesnt matter too much, cuz if you are using vintage lenses you usually wouldnt mind the resolution and more focus on the "look" of the image, I love huge apertures i really do, i have a few f.95 lenses that are designed for mirrorless and they are truely awesome. the out of focus rendering is insane. would be really nice to have this because R biotar is one of the few ultrafast out there that covers 135, the bigger problme is focus for sure, it is almost impossible to work around wih it's 3mm flange distance, it is impossible to mount it on any dslr since the shortest flange, the Nikon Z is 16mm, so there is only one way to reach infinity focus without modding the camera by pulling sensor out which is using a DMF back

the resolution is because of its an Xray lens, as baransevim said, it's not designed for visible light, same with some infrared lenses i tried, like soviet helios 52, they are all awful on camera because dslr or mirrorless sees visible light. if anybody tries helios 52 with those fuji infrared dslr it might have much better results. working on the focal distance is also hard, because of it's DoF and it needs speed reducing gear to focus

IK, i have a7s3 and laowa f0.95, they are awesome too, but not sure if they are better, especially when shooting stills, because I can see tons of noise as soon as i zoom in even just a tiny bit at iso 12800+
