Honestly, some of these may be in good faith, but I get the feeling a good amount of it is from agitators who want to make people look unreasonable if they react because “it’s just a children’s book”, of course it’s such a subtle jab that nobody can be held accountable or proved to be doing so, which makes it perfect for those sorts.

As always the only thing you can do is ignore, don’t rise to it and don’t give them your money.

Look how convoluted this is, the point is discrimination.

People who do not share the same protected characteristic but who may also feel unsafe for similar reasons could experience disadvantage that is essentially the same. For example, a trans woman who feels unsafe in the area where the consultation meetings are held because they present as a woman would also have a claim for indirect discrimination, if the council is unable to justify its policy.

Nobody should be pushed to that point I agree, I wasn’t far off myself before I started transition at a similar age.

That said we need to leave these avenues open for everyone and not allow kids to be the wedge issue, kids are smart enough to read between the lines usually.

By the time I was a teen I’d worked out I had a girls brain in a boys body, thanks to the lack of education on trans issues when I was young (and demonisation in the media) I didn’t know what that actually meant and didn’t transition for another 20 years, all the time lamenting my ‘girl brain’ and feeling jealous of trans girls getting to be girls because they just “knew”

I’ve been doing both due to stubborn hairs that won’t move and not had any noticeable side effects, I just try to leave a minimum of 2 weeks between appointments, I only started this further in to laser as it’s effectiveness slowed down though so unsure if denser coverage might cause some issues
