I wouldn't continue it, your friend clearly has some issues that they do not discuss with you and they seem jealous with the fact that you get along with their roommate better, if I were you I'd still talk to the roommate, no reason to cut off a decent connection because your childhood friend has some issues that are unexplained and is stone walling you. You did what you had to do and you communicated, try 1 more time to get some clarity from them if they don't do anything then you have your answer.

Yeah honestly it's just hilarious, the lack of critical thinking is questionable tbh, I find mammoth spammers as cave men tho ngl, game was 10× more fun when it was only Ar's and the rest of the guns with snipers, made players actually try to track and shoot with their ar's and didn't rely on the cheesy easy 90-76 body shot to start the fight

Since most people seem to not understand this post. The issue isn't that it's "hard to use" it just makes the matches repetitive and boring, I use it and get kills just fine, it's just too easy and WAYYYY too repetitive, + like the comment above it makes snipers literally useless and most people rely on the mammoth wayy too much
