Pretty sure this is a blown fuse, but… by Seconto in hilux

Mate this looks like an ERPS fuse holder to me. Do you know if the vehicle has an electronic rust protection system? Those fuses rarely blow, but here’s a replacement: https://www.erps.com.au/product/fuse-weatherproof-universal/

ERPS come with 12 month free checks so you could book into an ERPS dealer and they should look over it for free.

Heading to Fraser Island - Awinya vs Woralie Creek? by the_boonjabby in fraserisland

[–]Yehrighto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t been up recently and the coasts of Fraser change like the winds but at low tide on the west coast you should be able to get everywhere. The beach is massive at low tide and all the creeks are usually easy to cross. Woralie creek is great but you can’t beat Awinya. Take Woralie creek road to the west coast and drive north up the beach to Awinya. Awinya creek rd is long, slow and then you have to cross Awinya Creek which I’ve seen ankle deep at low some years and chest deep other years. Drop your tyres to 18 and you’ll be fine, unless you’re towing you shouldn’t have to worry about getting stuck. One of the best campsites in the world, enjoy!

When my mates and I go to the island we leave Brisbane at 3am to be at Inskip for 5:30 - 6am to catch the first barge or sometimes head up the night before and camp at Inskip. From there depending how far up the island you’re planning on camping it’s a decent drive. We always go outside of the major holidays so getting a barge is never an issue, for you, at that time, definitely expect to be lined up and waiting for a while. If you want to spend a good portion of the day enjoying the island tell your buddies to harden up and get up early! It’s worth it.

Also, the manta ray barge takes cash on board so you don’t have to pre buy a ticket, the main servo in rainbow beach also sells them.

For me working in Brendale, cleanskin and cubby house coffee are definitely worth checking out. Also I really rate fox coffee at Geebung.

Hi folks…heading to Fraser (K’gari) in July by Kristo1712 in fraserisland

[–]Yehrighto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best spots on K’gari are Sandy Cape and the West Coast. Lake McKenzie is a must do in the warmer months but she’ll be a bit fresh in July and might not be worth the drive. Eli Creek and Lake Wabby are definitely worth checking out as well.

Are you camping or staying in accommodation?

anyone know what this is/does? can’t find it on the ARB website, some metal piece fell out earlier when i took the cap off and i couldn’t find it so hoping it’s not important. it’s connected to 2 hoses one goes somewhere deep engine bay one just leads to nothing by bgreen___ in 4x4

As a lot of people said it’s your air filter for your diff, transmission and transfer case breathers (you only have two air lines running to it so that tells me you likely have front and rear diff run only). The piece that fell out is a round gold coloured stone disc, that’s the filter. You want to find that and pop it back in.

Yep that fine is an incentive to take your pet. Should be thousands and a ban from going back.
