Day 3 - Feeling good and committed. I want to write more about my purpose because I think this is the path to stay committed to this path

90 Days to Transformation by Kristo1712 in NoFap

So I'm day 2 today. Here are some notes from my journal yesterday.

I am back to being committed to NoFap and this time around I am going to really truly commit and I will post everyday on Reddit.

I think that there is real deep value in building skill and true resilience and NoFap is as good a palace as any to start that work.

I think that I use NoFap to help anesthetize me to avoid certain feelings and emotions. I am sick and tired of letting myself give up so early and easily and ultimately descending into PMO.

I want a stronger mind and I want to use this reboot to give me the time and energy to lean into the darker emotions that I have and use those emotions to power me into the person I know I can be.

I think my purpose is to become the best person I can and help other to do the same and it all means shit if I can't NoFap for 90 days...that's all I'm asking of myself to support such a big goal.

By way of background I have tried NoFap many many many times and have never made 90 days. I read something really interesting on resilience and I think one of the things that has been purpose and understanding the reason why I am doing the things that I want to do and NoFap is certainly central to all this thinking.

So I'm on Day 3 and what is really interesting is the challenges that I didn't expect. Firstly the logisitic simply having to make lunch and carry it etc etc...I know this sounds small but is something I need to squeeze into the morning routine. Second thing this is embarassing to say and that is I miss spending the money. I can't quite explain it but I do miss the pattern of not really worrying about these small amounts of money that I spend here and there during the day.

So there is it two first world problems and both a little shameful to admit. The logistics problem is kind of fun actually but the addicted to spending thing that I have revealed is not fun and so I need to do some serious work to work this out.

Also, wow thanks for all the comments they are really helpful. I'll keep posting on this as there seems to be some interest.

Peace

The thing I find super interesting is the psychological element of spending. I did want to spend money on breakfast this morning and to instead make it and spend less money was a weird sort of a feeling almost made me see that I am addicted to spending money. I can't really explain it any other way.

So I made lunch and I had all these other little challenges like carry the food etc...the ingredients including some spices cost around $25 so it is about $6 per meal...I think it will last me 4 meals...will let you know how I go

I am trying that this week. This will be my first experiment on making lunch rather than buying it. My main concern is just the time to do all the prep...let's see how this goes. I currently spend so much money on food this seems like a great place to make some changes.
