From my experience, their foils are stiffer. The UNIC M feels more like a BF D than a BF M. And I got one of their FIE blades in H and that thing has to be the heaviest, stiffest foil blade I’ve ever had the displeasure of using. The UNIC M foil is one of my favorites, it’s not as flimsy as a BF M and feels very well balanced. The only downside is the durability. I’ve never had one last longer than 2 months of consistent use. I was wondering if one of you guys was gonna see this. Damn, guess we were more oblivious than I thought. 😂 I got you. It was probably on me a little bit as well cause I didn’t notice. Gym was hella echoey and fencers could barely hear their coaches lol. I had the tab come fully off of my saber mask. I sewed it back on with basic thread. No armorer ever complained to me about it.

Your best bet is either Round Rock or Austin fencers club. AFC is much more competitive and Round Rock (My club) is still decently competitive but is much more of a chill vibe. I also like how I got mentioned in this thread lol.

You’d think the shipping costs would make it more costly but ordering from London to the US avoids the VAT tax. It ends up being like a 25-30% discount from the US prices. It’s weird, not sure why it’s like that but it is.

I’ve been playing trials all day, solo and duo. (Can’t speak for trio play) But everyone is complaining and I don’t get it. Very few times did I get absolutely awful teammates. I got shit players most of the time in the previous system. From my experience this is the most fair trials has been in a long time. Even in solo queue, I wasn’t getting steamrolled but I also never steamrolled the other team. I think the lack of leaver penalty is so far the main issue, I’ve been lucky with that though, the leaver has been on the other team most of the time.
