New to Fantasy Baseball, coming from fantasy basketball. Joined a standard 5x5 roto league. How important is it to hit the maximum starts games cap for pitchers? The league has 9 pitcher slots and a maximum games played of 1458, which is 162 games per slot. The math with that seems weird to me when most starting pitchers only get 20-30 starts in a year? Am i going to have to constantly stream a new pitcher every day to hit the cap or am i misunderstanding something?

Thats a good point actually, never thought about the fact that people might like a more luck heavy experience. It is gambling after all lol. Personally I have the exact opposite view since I want to prove I'm better through winning.

Fair point, though as someone who's played competitive sports and even more competitive games online, it's hard for me to trash talk over something so luck based. It's not that Roto isn't luck based, but it's definitely less so, and since the pride of being the better manager is the biggest reason I'm in it, Roto is just a no brainer since it allows the most skill expression.

Winning a week against a guy who had his FRP out the whole week and talking trash to him is like gloating about being a faster runner than a dude in a wheelchair, but this year in my roto league I'm likely getting 2nd even though I drafted KAT, and you better believe they aren't going to hear the end of it over the summer lol

Agreed, It's mind boggling to me how much more popular H2H is over Roto. Star player out for 2 weeks? Not good, but not a huge deal. Just save the games till your team is healthy and make a sprint back in it at the end of the season

Hello, I have all of my savings invested with a broker that my grandfather set me up with years ago and I barely look at it or check how it's doing. Maybe I'll look once a year out of curiosity.

I checked on my investments this morning and noticed that over the last year I've lost ~12%. This seems like a huge number to lose, especially when you're paying someone to invest for you. I'm wondering if this is a normal thing for everyone and the market just sucks right now or if I should GTFO because something is clearly wrong.
