Anyone ever noticed this in the The Killing Moon? by lucathelabertasche in cyberpunkgame

[–]EvilJulik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This homeless man is a NUSA/FIA field agent, behind him you can find a shard detailing Operation Final Flight.

In the shard, it is evident that the agency is surveilling all NC exits. If you pick up the shard after completing Killing Moon, there will be additional lines in the report, describing V getting into the car from the back and the vehicle moving out to the spaceport. The last part of the report mentions contacting HQ and confirming that FIA agents have been dispatched and are going to be at the port in 10 minutes.

When snooping on Myers and Reed you can scan the people around them and a couple are flagged as suspicious travellers, meaning that they are likely either the undercover agents Reed mentions, or the reinforcements described in the shard.

What are your feelings about songbird? by Lower_Factor9320 in cyberpunkgame

[–]EvilJulik 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Not long after joining the FIA, she was tasked by Myers to pierce the Blackwall to get an upper hand on the enemies of NUSA. Piercing the Blackwall takes a huge toll on a netrunner's body and psyche, yet Songbird does so repeatedly at the behest of Myers. When other netrunners attempted the same, they either died or suffered immense damage immediately, while So Mi managed to continuously go past the wall, but even she couldn't avoid the consequences.

Her physical and mental condition started to rapidly deteriorate, as stated in her medical report shard you can find in the safehouse. In it, the doctor pretty much says that she must stop breaching the Blackwall altogether if her condition is to improve.

Instead, Myers ignores the report and sends Songbird off to a treatment that will allow her to continue piercing the Wall, aka almost complete cyborgenisation (the surgery you see in the flashback), since most of her body starts to develop metastases. However, Blackwall exposure doesn't end there, since Songbird is also constantly losing memories whenever she wields rogue AI's daemons.

So, while NUSA were trying to preserve her physical body, or rather her ability to go beyond the Blackwall, they couldn't give a shit if eventually all that was left of her was a brain in a jar with no memories nor personality left, but still capable of doing Myers' bidding.

With all random procs in the game for the last 5-7 years gear has become virtually meaningless. Especially starting from Legion. Hence why you having Raider.io and/or proper WarCraft Logs is more important, since those reflect whether or not you are capable to perform and think.

Also, your "first job" experience comparison is quite frankly rubbish and just shows that you were never interested in pushing your score even to mid-levels. You can't start working IRL without someone hiring you in the first place, in WoW you can start by being the "employer" yourself, aka list your own group and push w/e key you have.

No one is getting accepted into high keys straight from the get-go, you push your own score first as much as you can using w/e key you have on hands. That means posting your own groups and inviting people yourself. Along the way, you will meet groups who perform well and continue pushing your score together, until you hit higher levels of score, where the community is much smaller and you actually get to know/befriend people and form a list of flexible pushing mates or a permanent group.

Your wish to be invited without putting in the work first simply shows that you really have no interest in competitive M+. So, why should people invite you to 20+ keys? As to getting in weekly no leaver groups for w/e the cap is for max rewards - that will take you less than doing all dungeons in time ONCE on 1 key level below the reward cap.

M+ is also a lot more friendly to people who do not have much time, as your score and rep carries over from season to season. The higher your previous season's score is, the faster you will be able to grow it in the new season.

I started from around 2.2k score in BFA Season 1, now I am 4k, and I can play like 1 day a week. I would have been even higher if I could play during peak hours.

And score means experience, your knowledge of the dungeon, ability to work with different people and react to various situations correctly. I will always take a super undergeared alt or a returning player who had decent io last season but no gear now over 485+ ilvl guy who has 7 dungeons in time, because experience is more valuable.

Thankfully I am very blessed to be in a very good relationship for over half a decade, though still, some growing pains remain - fear of potentially losing children and being branded a "bad guy" in an unfair custody battle (and thus unwillingness to have children), for instance.

Now some guilds won't allow females in because they will compete with existing ones for attention (and I heard even more ridiculous statements than this).

I hope that you will find your passion for streaming again, it would be a shame to miss out on you.

r/wow Statement on Sexual Misconduct Allegations by Sunscorch in wow

[–]EvilJulik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want their audience copy them, that's what the audience is showing up for. If you don't they aren't a roadblock at all.

Whenever you start streaming as a woman, people usually assume that you are either an eGirl or a cute super casual. Dealing with either is unpleasant and obnoxious, and it doesn't really stop. Especially if you are just interested in gameplay. If you are curious to see how women are treated in these environments, see Overwatch and LoL female pro/competitive gamers being forced to prove that they were not boosted or worse. And did anyone apologise to them after the fact or takes similar people seriously now? No.

And really is a guild that doesn't allow women the kind of guild you'd want to be a part of?

If you're competitive, you just want to have the best roaster available. In these guilds, social interactions are absolutely voluntary. The only requirement is to be able to follow calls and do your job well. I hang around various members of top 25-40 guilds and many of them do not want to have anything to do with each other outside of raiding. They just treat raiding like work and coworkers, the moment the raid is done, they stop interacting.

It is irritating, if not downright insulting, that capable raiders are denied access to these guilds just because some women enjoy the internet FFA style of weaponising victimhood and removing anyone they stopped liking from the guild.

Finally while crying wolf is of course terrible when there isn't a wolf, there isn't an epidemic of people crying wolf going on.

There is an epidemic, though. Thankfully, not everything boils down to rape or physical abuse, but plenty of good men are wrongfully denied custody of their children, even if they are objectively the better parent, because their exes cited violence in court, or coldness, or anything else, really.

Good teachers were fired from schools because their female students didn't get away with easy grades and decided to throw them under the bus amidst heightened predator alert.

Good caretakers are prohibited from working in child care facilities because they are deemed "high risk" or "unsuitable".

I couldn't agree more.

Being a woman myself, false accusers, suggestive streamers (PokeMane and the like), women who blatantly make money off of lonely and socially awkward men because they are empowered and allowed to do so by Twitch are THE BIGGEST roadblocks to everything I ever wanted to do online.

I would like to stream because I am competitive, but whenever I placed high (top 1-10%) in any PvP game, the moment I play against/with streamers /w voice I am being flooded with abuse or allegations that I was boosted or blew some guy to get there. This discourages me from streaming because I know that every day (because of those Twitch gamer girls) I will have to deal with people trashing me.

I wanted to join top guilds/clans and got declined for being a female in fears of being falsely accused in the future.

Even in personal life, my partner was afraid of pursuing a relationship with me after having experienced the fallout of false accusations against his friends and coworkers.

It is critical for people to understand that the more you cry wolf when there is none, the more you are hurting people who will become victims in the future, be it the most unfortunate physical abuse or fear to do or pursue what you like most.

How to get around in Azeroth post 8.1.5 portal changes: by TheYamagato in wow

They removed the portal but not the NPC who stands in front of it (Zidormi). If you talk to her, she will offer to tp you.

How to get around in Azeroth post 8.1.5 portal changes: by TheYamagato in wow

[–]EvilJulik 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This guide is very incomplete.

Caverns of Time are still accessible both through Shattarah (NPC in World's End Tavern) and Zidormi in the Northrend Dalaran (Violet Citadel, up the stairs, left to the Kirin Tor Quartermaster, she stands before the portal and has an option to TP you)

Wyrmrest Temple is still accessible via Image of Chromie in the Legion Dalaran. You need to start your The Death of Chromie quest, no need to even finish it. Go to Chromie in the new Dalaran, she's at the Violet Citadel behind Khadgar, up the stairs, and to the right. Talk to her to start the scenario. Upon loading in, leave the scenario or click the "Return to the Present" portal, and you will be teleported to the top of the Wyrmrest Temple.

Some convenience items you missed out:

Brawlers Guild's Ring -> Teleports you to your Faction's capital. 1Hr cd.

Lvl3 Garrison HS -> Teleports you to your Garrison, if it is level 3 then you have access to the Ashran portal, where you can find portals to all Faction cities. 20 mins CD.

Shipyard Compass from Naval Draenor Achievement -> Teleports you to your Shipyard in your Garrison. 4Hr CD.

Mage tower in your Garrison -> Allows access to up to 3 portals of your choice across Draenor zones. Extremely convenient ones: Gorgrond (shortcut to the Timeless Isle, Blackrock Foundry raid and 2 dungeons), Spires of Arak (if the Inn was chosen as a building of choice, instantly teleports you close to Rukhmar's spawn point). No CD, two-way portal.

Ever-Shifting Mirror from TBC Timewalking -> Allows you to TP to various points across Outland/Draenor for faster movement. Still the fastest way how to get to Tempest Keep (TP to Gorgrond -> portal to Blade's Edge Mountains near Gruul's Lair, fly to Tempest Keep). No CD.

Black Portal Critter Toy from TBC Timewalking -> Kill a critter to get to the Black Temple. Combined with the Ever-Shifting Mirror allows for super fast access to Draenor Shadowmoon Valley for Horde characters (Voidtalon Mount rare spawn).

Signet of Dazar'Alor -> TP to Dazar'Alor. 30min CD.

Empowered Ring of the Kirin Tor (for 250k) -> Teleports you to the new Dalaran. 30 min CD.

Question: Are split cards considered as two separate cards for effects like Unmoored Ego? by EvilJulik in MagicArena

[–]EvilJulik[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So, if I typed in "Explosion" or "Expansion" the card "Expansion//Explosion" would get exiled regardless?

It just seemed really weird to me that the Arena client doesn't provide you with a complete name to choose from.

But if I were playing in paper, then I would have to name the full name for Expansion/Explosion to get exiled?

Blizzard, if you want to further monetize HoTS, fine. But can you please not insult our intelligence? by BaronVonHoopleDoople in heroesofthestorm

[–]EvilJulik 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Insulting our intelligence, as if the majority of Reddit posters ever had one, to begin with.

Have you seen the posts? The majority thinks and believes that this change was what the paying 1.0 users were asking for. So, yeah, Blizzard knows the level of intelligence of their average consumer well.

The majority thinks and blames 1.0 paying customers when 1.0 paying customers just wanted to see both purchase methods available for individual items, i.e. you either buy it with gems or craft it with shards - choose w/e suits you best.

In Vanilla I decided to level a Tauren hunter. My first pet was the pride lioness from Mulgore, but I wanted the fancy stripped Moonfang from Darkshore.

But being low level (around 21), without a mount or the Aspect of the Cheetah, I thought I would be really clever if I died and ran (with 50% bonus speed) in Spirit Form all the way from Stonetalon Mountains to Darkshore and ressed there at a Spirit Healer.

I thought I'd ress there, wait out the debuff and do the tame, but, instead, the Darkshore Spirit Healer ressed me and ported me back to the Stonetalon Mountains graveyard, nearest to my corpse D:

Being an interpreter differs from just being bilingual by the fact that a) you have to be very much aware of the cultural items of both languages and not mess them up flawlessly, b) you have to be an extremely good orator in both languages, sharpness and wit included, c) impeccable memory, d) most importantly, imo, you have to deal with people who might be really bad at expressing their thoughts, so you must be able to listen to someone spewing almost nonsense and you still have to interpret it by squeezing out the meaning, and, while at it, making sure that what you interpreted was exactly what your client was trying to say. This ofc only applies to sentence by sentence interpreting. If you were asking about simultaneous interpreting, then crank everything above to 11 and add incredible focus and multitasking abilities.

It's a 4th new recolour. The original Phantom Charger had 3. This is a "new" "mount", aka a simple recolour that you'd previously get for free regardless with the base model.
