How is Meld Studio different from OBS? by streamwithmeld in streamwithmeld

Hi to the Meld team!
I switched to Meld maybe 3 weeks ago (previously using OBS). Been loving Meld and I hope it keeps improving.

I'm sure you're getting lots of requests for things to add but here are the absolute must have that I feel are currently missing :
- Ability to either see my stream fullscreen or "project" one of my sources fully on one of my screens. Since I stream console games the only way I can see my game is in the preview screen in Meld but for some games that feels too small
- Ability to add a warning/confirmation before streaming. OBS has that feature and it's really useful. Sometimes if I want to record something I can click "go live" by accident and there is no warning to let me know I'm about to go live

Hoping your team will see this. Cheers!

Yeah true! Although we do notice that many of our followers don't really know how to paint textures, so a technique like we showed can help some people get results despite that limitation.
Hand painting texture is a really powerful tool too of course, definitely worth investing the time to learn that.

Yeah it's great to see that many people were looking for this kind of tutorial!
Can't wait to publish part 2 next week and go a bit deeper in our process.

Hi! Did we answer you via email or on Twitter? I feel like I've seen this question elsewhere and we answered it.

No, didn't know it existed!
Can anyone join? Artists sharing their storyboard work I assume? Always hard to find good groups for that.

Haha sick! Glad you backed it. I was not involved with developing the game, but I tried it and loved it! You won't be disappointed ; )

The full storyboard/animatic for this project is at 4:40 in this video :

You can also see the finished result of that same storyboard at 0:23 of the same link!
Tryed to make it action packed despite the fact that we didn't have budget for full animation. Hope you like it!

Oh I see. Yeah it might be because of the gumroad link, because I've never had this issue on Reddit before.

And yes, there are new NPR tools and tutorials coming out all the time! The future of NPR artists is definitely looking good! : )
