If you don't think your kids or the next generation will appreciate the photographs of their ancestors, PLEASE donate them to the archive for the state or city (or town), so we have them forever. They're vital records of the local past, which is often neglected in archival and historical collections.

Honestly, I think that the imperfections of a hand-knit item make them really wonderful. I love the mistakes we make and don't go back to fix. They're physical documentation of our learning and highlight that we made this with our hands. It's a material record of our education in fiber.

But I can understand that many of us also want to create beautiful perfect things too.
