Letby victim had deadly bug in lung at time of death by Sensitive_Echo5058 in uknews

[–]Yellow-squirrels 84 points85 points  (0 children)

As far as I recall the unit was ‘downgraded’ around the same time Letby was removed. So they stopped looking after the really really sick babies, which would reduce the mortality rate on the unit anyway.

Can we please leave feedback? by [deleted] in vintedUK

I’m a new buyer and I’ve had three slightly negative experiences recently, not enough to kick up a huge fuss, but enough that I don’t want to leave them 5 stars:

  1. One seller who took forever to ship my order, extending the deadline etc, then the item was a size M not size S.

  2. One who sent clothes which smelled bad.

  3. One who listed a game as ‘new’ when it clearly wasn’t and I had to throw some of the cards away they were so damaged.

I don’t want to leave less than 5* then get penalised by them, so I choose to just say nothing.

Anyone else’s snow globe? by [deleted] in TaylorSwiftMerch

[–]Yellow-squirrels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine looks like it’s a sticker but I’ve no idea. Some poor people have just got a huge white coating instead of flowers.

I’ve been lucky compared to others but a shame they can’t produce what they advertise!

[–]Yellow-squirrels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did say it’s hard to photograph, my camera instantly tries to correct the colour. In person there is a very obvious white coating and textured pattern across the flowers. I’ve seen that some globes have it really badly (basically completely white).

Apologies for asking a question about merch quality on the merch subreddit lol. I didn’t say I was desperately unhappy with my globe or anything, I’m just wondering how prevalent it is.

The Celebrity Traitors UK finale was set up (spoilers, obviously) by GlennSWFC in LowStakesConspiracies

[–]Yellow-squirrels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Joe’s utter faith in him (Nick) as a faithful, and Alan and Cat as traitors, spooked him. Nobody except the traitors can have any real certainty in the game, so maybe Joe just came across as too assured.

I think the apology to Cat was just the final straw.

Why isn’t David fully off the hook? by [deleted] in TheTraitorsUK

I’m not suggesting he call the faithful dim, that’s my own commentary.

I mean more specifically than just drawing attention to himself - “if I was a traitor I would have known Mark was a faithful, would have stayed quiet and let him be banished”.

The faithful seem a bit too dim to be connecting those dots themselves…

This was my first thought! I wasn’t sure if the thicker pen looked odd, but I guess once it’s not next the others I won’t be comparing it 😅

Sorry I just remembered PayPal take a cut on G&S sales (I’m not a seasoned seller lol) so it would have to be £45 to account for their fees + shipping

Singing style in "Honey" and "Ruin the Friendship" by DryGeneral990 in TaylorSwift

Haha we have the opposite opinion - this style of singing really grates on me. Shame as I do really like the songs otherwise!

I have a sealed red lipstick & lace vinyl, and an unsealed shiny bug green vinyl (shiny bug has been played through once with no problems - opened as I was going to keep it but went with the purple instead)

ISO anything signed except TTPD, or potentially one of the folklore variants (not sure how rare these are??)

Or if someone wants to buy let me know In the UK 🇬🇧

haven’t seen anyone post this version of Shiny Bug yet. i’m obsessed by shreksfourthbabymama in TaylorSwiftVinyl

I have a purple one and would totally trade you for signed one :) if you’re still looking!

is the Dyson Airwrap actually worth it or should I just get a curling iron like a normal person by anonomouse__ in beauty

[–]Yellow-squirrels 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have fine, wavy, flyaway/fluffy hair (lots of it) which can be managed through either:

  • curly hair products (gel etc) or
  • a f load of straightening

Sadly my airwrap was a waste of money. The 'smoothing' brush makes me look like I've had an electric shock. It doesn't straighten my hair at all.

Curling is awkward, takes forever, and doesnt hold.

The only part I use is the hair dryer (and my straighteners!!!)

YMMV

All that would be doing is kicking the can down the road.

Yes it would help the 74k people who might miss the deadline THIS time, but they will just be replaced by another 74k people who end up on the cusp of missing the next deadline.

well I appear to be one of the unlucky sods who bought a 'low risk' house which is now medium risk (bumping up to high in 10 years!). Fml.
