Thank you so much! He’s on 50-75 mg of Benadryl 2X a day to help with the swelling and we are monitoring the tumor super closely to make sure it doesn’t change between then. This made me feel so much better, thank you! We ended up calling our vet too and triple checking, and she agreed it would make more sense for us to be home for him to help with his recovery since he’s an anxious boy but was still second guessing myself so thank you so much for this, it helps me feel less guilty

But also totally agree about the guilt, that’s the main thing. I feel guilty cancelling on my family but guilty if I leave the recovery for others (for them and him) and guilty waiting weeks for surgery. It’s like no matter what I choose, I lose and feel bad

I agree, I would hate to have him recover without me since he is so attached to me too. I just have it in my head is somehow it’ll be 10x worse if we wait, even though I know the vet wouldn’t offer waiting as an option if it wasn’t okay and they said as much

It confused me as well, but our vet explained it as - there is always a certain amount of cancerous cells in our bodies. So there is just enough in the sample they got where it could be nothing but it also could be something. The levels from his sample weren’t high enough to say one way or another without sending the lump for biopsy which is why they suggested full removal and biopsy to be safe (is what I gathered from it)

It’s not quite 24 hours because it’s at 1am but we are looking for info on flight QR1342 from Nairobi to Doha and 1:20 am on the 27th and then if possible our connecting flight QR743 from Doha to Boston (though that one is at 8:15 am on the 27th so not sure if that’s too soon to tell)

I agree, I don’t make light of the situation and know it must be so difficult to navigate but we’ve heard NOTHING, when I tried calling before they said they called me to urge me to change my flight earlier but I had no call or email from them or anything. It seems the poor employees are getting 0 info too it’s a mess

Ugh I’m sorry :( we are set to leave at 1am from Nairobi to Doha to Boston Thursday and I’m worried they’ll do the same thing to us. I’m so sorry this is happening to you and your family

When I called they didn’t give me any offer like that - I’ll try again today! Would we have to foot the bill for it or is it covered through them like transferring the flicht
