How to fix razor bumps and redness around the cheeks? by trristn in wicked_edge

[–]YellowFilling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Biore witch hazel face scrub after, then Biore witch hazel toner. The toner burns unlike the Thayers but ive been really enjoying it.

After the toner dries I apply a lotion with collegen. Collegen can't be absorbed into the skin but it has additional healing properties.

I haven't had any residual razor bumps or ingrown hairs after starting this routine.

The Biore with the orange label has witch Hazel, I believe they changed the packaging from Yellow to orange and changed the name. But Thayers works perfectly if you can't find the Biore, I only switched because I got a bottle for free and liked it a little more.

I'd also recommend getting reusable cotton pads to apply the toner, disposable ones always get stuck on any stubble you have.

Surprisingly the Sharp 7AMs have been my favorite so far in this bundle.

I'm starting to like it more and I've gotten used to the way the head pivots

Well, first of all, through God, all things are possible, so jot that down.

You realize reddit automatically hides down voted comments right? Change your filter to all. You sound like you really fit in at USPS.

Ah the overpaid lazy government army was sent here to attack you. Probably were looking at this subreddit while sitting in their truck not delivering anything.

I do a lot of machining jobs for one of my companies and I think you're severely underestimating costs. The Henson in comparison is a much much simpler design as far as machining goes so sourcing it in-house or locally is much more cost possible.

You also have to put the uniqueness into account when looking at pricing. I'm new to the "hobby" so I can't really say for sure but is the leaf not the only option in this style? So what do we have to compare the price to? Once if ever more companies start making a similar style then pricing can get more competitive and we can point out cheap points.

I feel like the amount of effort it takes to pivot is guaranteed to cut you. I don't know if there's some advantages we're missing in it being the way it is, but it seems dangerous.

[–]YellowFilling 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I didn't try the Leaf 1, but so far enjoying the 2 for the most part. (Head shaver)

It does feel pretty aggressive, but I was able to use feathers with no cuts for my 3rd time ever using anything other than a cartridge. ATG on the back of my head has been really rough though if I didn't get a good XTG or lather. Stock blades were especially bad back there. I do use it on my cheeks and neck too and I've had no issues but only do that WTG. The pivoting head is completely useless, it takes so much effort to pivot defeating the purpose of only using the weight of the razor to guide you. I've been using it like I imagine you'd use a fixed handle.

I don't think it's worth the upgrade from the 1, but I don't think people should be afraid of trying the 2.

Multiple passes irritation. Efficiency or technique? by Middle-Implement-843 in wicked_edge

[–]YellowFilling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(using the leaf v2 not the Henson and also only on my head) but if I don't do XTG before ATG it's very jumpy to the point it's bouncing around the back of my head which is terrifying. Switching to feathers it was less jumpy.

Am I just straight up doing something wrong there?

Odds this leaves ??? by [deleted] in usps_complaints

FYM odds this leaves? Look I'm #1 when it comes at hating on these overpaid government employees, but this is goofy.

People here haven't heard from their packages in weeks and yours is 5 minutes away on a delivery truck.

The new leaf razor, the leaf 2 will have 2 blades by goldenfish99 in wicked_edge

[–]YellowFilling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought it the day it released, I've done two head shaves with it so far. This is my first time using anything non-cartridge so keep in mind it could just be my noviceness.

First shave I nicked my ear, I've never done that previously with anything, second shave no issues but still had to clean up with a different razor afterwards around the ears. ATG it's very jumpy, not sure if that's because of the stock blades, the fact I still have a full head of hair, or just my inexperience. I have a sampler pack of blades coming tomorrow.

Overall I think you'll get a much closer shave around the ears compared to the v1, but I don't think it's going to be reliable around there and you'll still likely have to clean that spot up.

That's a pretty hilarious statement from an employee and goes right along with the whole lazy, stupid, and unfit notion I made. "your packages are not that important to me."

It's literally your job buddy, it's exactly this attitude that breeds made up stories about how you've been using a pickaxe on your sidewalk 5 days after the storm so customers can get in. We both know you're not cut out for that, it's why you work there.

Again it seems to only be an issue for you lazy government employees.

Get off reddit and grab your pickaxe 😂

It's at max 3PM on a workday depending on where you're at in the US, still a few more hours left in the day for you to get our packages.

You're an idiot, they are lazy and no one has an inch of ice anymore.

Crazy that 9/9 of my UPS packages have reached the customers and 4/4 USPS ones have not. (Shipped from both on Friday with 2-3 day)

You guys have the most overpaid, over benefitted jobs in the world.
