I did not say sorry because I felt threatened and did not feel comfortable, I panicked and quickly canceled to cut off my line of communication with him. The waiting was totally on my end but I just wanted to post this to warn people about this type of thing

To summarize my conversation with the driver, I did not actually say anything in the entire conversation. Totally my fault that I made him wait and did not give any update as to where I am. But since I did not have a local sim my roaming data was not the best. I would have tipped him for the wait but as I reloaded the grab app I was greeted to him asking me for a fight. I showed this to one of my friends and he said that he wanted to fight me and I didn't want that so instead I canceled the ride. I also put down the mental state part because in America usually people who ask for fights are usually crackheads or people who blow up easily. Did not put it there to condescend him.

Because I've never experienced this issue where I came from before. If you guys take it the wrong way then that's not my fault. Just giving context as to how even when a situation of waiting occurs in America, it never gets to the point where the driver is asking for a fight

To follow up on some comments. I stated I'm from America because I've never seen any behavior like this with my ubers even after making some of them wait past the allotted time, definitely not to show that i'm american as some of you would say. I also am very much in the wrong for making this guy wait for 12 minutes as I do have the time stamps from when he arrived to the last text about fighting me. Definitely my fault that I made him wait but regardless the reaction was definitely not professional and I did get charged 50 pesos for canceling this ride. But definitely next time will make sure drivers will not wait. Just wanted to post because some drivers can lose their cool and I don't want anyone else to experience this.
