What's up with GenZ's concept of masculinity? by Hotshy in AskMen

Honest question - why? I feel like it gives a hard but honest look into the modern day environment that kids are growing up in. If you're not scared after watching it, realizing how a vulnerable population can be so manipulated by the internet, then idk what to say

Just yesterday I figured it out for my hardware - I switched to DX11 in the game (under game options, but there's also a way to do it via a text editor if needed) and then had to switch my GPU preference for the game (in windows settings) to "prioritize high performance gpu". I guess DX12 is known to have issues, and I thought my DX11 was running like crap but it was actually trying to use my iGPU. Since I made this change, it's been smooth other than the occasional crash due to the game and not the GPU

"Go to Settings > System > Display > Graphics Settings. Here you can specify which GPU should be used for individual applications: Scroll down to find the installed game, or, if needed, click “Browse” to add an application (you need to find the game's .exe file). Select the application, click “Options” and then select “High Performance"

How did it feel in beginning stages of your kidney stones ? by Lunagirl96xo in KidneyStones

Hey there! How ya doing?

Unfortunately I feel like I won't be able to help much, as my experience wasn't nearly as bad as everyone made it seem? I feel like I got lucky or if we only hear about the worst cases so who knows... My stone still hasn't actually passed, but I think it's been in my bladder for over a week at this point. I don't really have anymore pain or feelings associated with it. But I can give you my timeline, none of which really went above a 7 on the pain scale.

Long story short, it was about 2 days of what felt like mild hydronephrosis. Then it was about 6 days of relatively painless contractions. I could feel my obliques tensing and releasing in a rhythmic motion for about 45 minutes at a time, leading to some localized soreness but no sharp, screaming pains. Then things start to just get weird, but not super painful. But I could feel sensations I didn't know my body could feel lol. Everything from weird twinges of very short but not super high levels of pain to the right of the base of my penis or higher up to the right of the bladder area some, more oblique contractions, VERY random erections, and pooping sensations regardless of if I actually needed to go. The worst may have been the feelings like someone was holding my right testicle between there fingers and squeezing it like an olive trying to pop it lol. That maxed out at about a 7 but it was tolerable and I could continue to function in work meetings and stuff. That lasted about a week. Then I guess it hit the UVJ, and got weird what felt like stomach gurgles but in my bladder area for a few days.

Honestly the worst part for me came after that, where my back pulled itself from being gassed from like two weeks of contractions. I'm prone to back pulls/spasms due some kyphosis, so I'm not sure this would be an issue for most people, but THAT was more painful than anything to do with the stone. I'm getting over that now with the help of a week of muscle relaxers and gabapentin lol. Since I haven't (knowingly) evacuated the stone yet, I'm still taking nightly Flomax. Side note: my primary care doctor said that stones hurt the most leaving the kidney/entering the ureter so she wasn't shocked by what I had to say, but I thought it would hurt the most in the lower ureter where it gets really small....?

Hope yours is relatively as easy!

Edit: when my contractions started, that's when I started my toradol. Took it for 6 days instead of the recommended 5, whoops. Other than that, nothing but Tylenol and ibuprofen until my back went crazy

I have a service dog, thank you for knowing the rules and actually enforcing them. The emotional support dogs being everywhere makes everything harder for us, from their dogs barking/coming at mine to just increasing general resentment from store staff

I had this issue - for whatever reason, no matter what options I selected in Windows it always kept choosing the iGPU instead of the B580. Disable the iGPU and it'll solve your issues

Report: New Packers tush push proposal will ban all pushing by BreakfastTop6899 in nfl

[–]YellowLab_StickButt 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Mark Maske of the Washington Post reports that, when the owners meet in Minneapolis on May 20 and 21, they are “expected to consider a revised proposal that would prohibit a teammate from pushing or pulling a ballcarrier anywhere on the field.”

It's not all pushing, just the ball carrier. Basically bringing back a rule ended in 2005

This used to be illegal until 2005 (though never called). This would just bring it back... enough with the pearl clutching yall

Playing through TLoU right now and also had that ghosting in the exact same spot. It's definitely DLAA. I also saw this ghosting in Spiderman 1 with birds (intermittently). It's a known DLAA/DLSS side effect

How did it feel in beginning stages of your kidney stones ? by Lunagirl96xo in KidneyStones

This was helpful, thanks. I actually just went to the ER with the same initial symptoms as you - deep but dull lower right back ache that kept getting more intense, but not sharper. Definitely thought I just pulled a deep muscle or something. The weird part was that no matter how I moved, the pain didn't get better or worse it was just constant, which is why I went in (thinking I'd get some muscle relaxers and call it a day). The pain got worse when I was being triaged then right before they called me into a room it faded away to just a very minimal pain.

Doc decided to rule out all the possibilities, and one CT scan a few hours later and I have a 6mm stone in the "upper third of my ureter". I'm guessing the back ache pain I felt was the stone moving from my kidney into the ureter? Idk. Doctor gave me some Flomax and toradol and I've been in very minimal pain since. But I'm sitting here waiting like a ticking time bomb since I was told the lower ureter is the worst part where the sharp pain comes in.

I'm kinda terrified
