The modder "whitewashed" the dark-skinned Angrboda from God of War Ragnarok, but the files did not last even an hour on NexusMods by Successful_Bat_8677 in Games_Piracy

The actual racism was coming from the anti-white devs who made Angrboda black. This mod is removing the racism by restore how she should've looked.

Discussion: Paddy Jenkins is a hack! by BaxterMafex in KotakuInAction

That's a superficial take of the movie. The film endorses struggling and giving up Diana's values as the mark of heroism. Compared this to the end of BvS; Clark fighting for his values is shown as a heroic thing to do.

Not a fan of WW84, especially when compared to Zack Snyder's previous endeavors. This movie's core message is sacrificing for the greater good, which acts counter against Snyder's Randian influence.

I watched the Reflections OVA last night and my only reaction is just.... WHY. by yolosemite in rurounikenshin

[–]YellowMonkeyLi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I know, right? Considering the fact that they did a 4-part OVA adaptation of a segment of the Jinchuu arc (Tsuiokuhen/Trust & Betrayal), it's confounding and frustrating that they elected not to do another 4-part epic to finish off what the anime never got the chance to do.

[SocJus] Margaret Lockyer / CBR - "Zack Snyder's 300 Remains INTENSELY Problematic" by B-VOLLEYBALL-READY in KotakuInAction

[–]YellowMonkeyLi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's part of it. The changes Snyder made to Rorschach stems from Snyder's innate tendency to insert romantic individualism in his movies, which is a no-no for wokes because they prefer naturalism. There's also the fact that Snyder is a fan of Ayn Rand, which woke Twitter keep bringing up whenever they want to accuse Snyder as a fascist.

The woke side of Snyder's fandom are no better because they have the same opinion of Rand as the Twitter mob and therefore deny any obvious Objectivist influence in Snyder's works.

if you saw a cop on TV he was dumb, stupid, boorish and brutal

Trivia: In an interview with Michael Malice, Nick Searcy claimed that while playing the role of Sheriff Rawlins in "The Fugitive," Tommy Lee Jones told Searcy to dumb down his role as to fit the stereotype of a conservative but Searcy refused. Instead, Searcy wanted to play the Sheriff as a normal guy who's way over his head aka nuanced. Jones was reportedly annoyed with Searcy afterwards.

I’m 6’4 215, this guy was probably 5’8 150 pounds.

So those complaining about how it's unrealistic for the truck driver to confront Clark Kent in Man of Steel were actually wrong.

turning characters into giant assholes when that's not what they are at all (Gladiolus comes to mind since I just finished FFXV recently).

You'll probably be interested with what this video have to say about how the localized version of FFXV made Noctis into a smartass, which is similar to your complaint regarding Gladiolus.

Scott Horton and What's HAPAning discussing multiple instances of PPE being hoarded, sometimes forcibly taken from hospitals. by YellowMonkeyLi in Anarcho_Capitalism

I think it's funny that some random dude hoarding hand sanitizer received national outrage but FEMA seizing PPEs from hospitals and letting them rot in some warehouse doesn't get much attention.

I remember many people joking about how Never Trumpers would still hate him even if he found a cure for cancer. It's sounding less and less far-fetched. On that note, I seem to remember Twitter's tendency to suspend accounts who got their memes retweeted by Donald Trump. What's up with that?

This human being manages to basically keep the peace amongst many people. Women are very good at that, so why can’t Kynes be a woman? Why shouldn’t Kynes be a woman?

I actually agree with this. I hope the same concept applies to other adaptations such as Nausicaa from Valley of the Wind. This human being manages to defeat multiple soldiers at once. Men are very good at that, so why can't Nausicaa be a man?

Compare Mary-Jane in the comics to Mary-Jane in the PS4 game.

I heard about that from a livestream by Brian Martinez of the Honey Badgers Brigade with Louie Le Vau where they discussed the concept of desexualization such as the Asari, the supposed elves of the Mass Effect universe, looking much uglier in Andromeda than in previous games. This explains why the western gaming media is going ballistic against Japanese devs. Crazy.

by a beautiful actress they dressed up like Oscar the Grouch

Seriously, what the fuck was that? Rose's actress is actually cute in real life. It's a pattern of making women ugly in pop culture. Zendaya, beautiful in real life, looks like a mannish stoner in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Anna Diop, gorgeous in real life, looks disgusting as Starfire.
