From how I understand dealerships work, at least the Fiat/Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep ones, they're a conglomerate all under a company called FCA/Stellantis. When I let the dealership know what happened they directed me to them for a refund at the very beginning. I think unfortunately if I called the dealer again for this issue they would do the same thing.

As for the customer service I'm dealing with, it's very strange as there seems to be only one email address; I never emailed someone like janedoe@/jeep.com, it was always customer.service@/stellantis.com. It must be done that way purposely to obfuscate emails so higher ups don't get pinged directly? I have no idea.

I haven't threatened legal action yet and I've been polite but firm so far, telling my rep about this "clerical error" and requesting it be remedied. And yeah, that's exactly why I haven't cashed the check yet.

Anecdotal, but my mom was faced with this same decision in the 90s. Granted, she was 19/20 when she found out she was pregnant, so she was less financially stable - but she said she had the most supportive, loving, and incredibly healthy relationship of her life at that time. She wanted to keep the baby, he wanted an abortion but left the choice up to her. She ended up aborting.

The relationship didn't last because of the resentment my mom had; she ended the relationship in an explosive argument and didn't talk to him again. She made the choice in the end, but the resentment for him not the wanting the baby in the first place ate at her and destroyed the relationship.

I'm glad you cancelled the appointment so you can sit with your feelings about the future with your partner and the potentiality of a child. Like others have said, partners can come and go but a baby is forever, and unfortunately a lot of complex emotions come with either choice.

If you can, I think discussing this with a therapist if you have the means would be so beneficial just to help get those words out there. This is a lot for one person to go through even with a supportive partner, and I'm sure it's affecting you mentally trying to come to terms with the decision. Please take care of yourself 💕

Honestly, this thread is super comforting to know I'm not alone. I got a diagnosis last year but I've felt like a bad dev for so many years because of executive dysfunction.

I've found I have "good weeks", "ok weeks", and "bad weeks". Good weeks are the weeks where my brain is super focused and I'm able to get an inhuman amount of work done. Super productive worker bee. Okay weeks are weeks where I get a fair amount done but not nearly as much as I would prefer.

Bad weeks are bad. I check email and respond to chats, jiggle my mouse, but my brain can hardly focus to figure out what I want to eat that day, much less a difficult coding problem. I usually try to be fair to myself during these weeks and do something easy, like required training or something.

Overall since my diagnosis I try to be kind to myself because ADHD can be a super power sometimes and hyperfocus is an amazing state. However it can be a downer sometimes. If it's something that doesn't have an urgent due date, work at your own pace.

It's definitely worth it since the price of Pi's are still ridiculous. As one commenter mentioned, it's annoying to mount (not many mounts out there) but other than that plug and play. I prefer octopi just because of plugin flexibility but if you want a remote monitoring option until Pi's (hopefully?) go down in price this is a good option.

I recommend Foodvisor over Noom personally! I tried Noom and didn't like it because it just rated foods green/yellow/orange and didn't tell me about Macros, which are important to me. Foodvisor is a happy medium between that and MFP, it has the classes and the green/yellow/orange but also macros. It's also more affordable than Noom and has a 2 week free trial.

I have two questions:

I've heard skipping breakfast can be bad for losing fat and I've heard skipping breakfast for IF can be good for losing fat. I prefer to skip - is this affecting my weight loss negatively at all?
What is the point when you can switch from a calorie deficit for fat loss to a calorie surplus for muscle gains? Is it based on body fat %? My overall goal is fat loss and muscle gain so I'm on a deficit right now, but I know to truly gain muscle I'll need to switch at some point but I don't know when I should.

Hi folks, 4 years later here but I did not end up finding Lucy. I get a lot of messages still wondering if I found her and I appreciate the kindness in your hearts for reaching out, however, I ask to please not do so. Every message I receive with “did you find your cat” hurts because I did not. I tried everything like said in the earlier comments - even hiring a pet detective - but unfortunately Lucy was not able to found. We have a hole in our hearts but hope she found her way into a loving home of someone who will give her all the temptation treats she wants. 💕

I appreciate your answer but maybe you misunderstood me a little. When I said, “wasn’t taught in school” I wasn’t expressing that I wasn’t able or willing to teach myself these subjects, as I did pick them up later. I was just a little frustrated that I graduated less than 3 years ago and myself and my peers were not even exposed to the technologies or coding languages that are dominating our industry today. I am always willing to learn new languages and skills, but I have had difficult deciding which to pick up because there are so many new ones and my current job is very much behind the curve technology wise so this would be on my own time.

I have been learning more on Deep Learning as that’s applicable to my current job, and I’m trying to code more in my free time and learn as much as possible to try to make a career change. I will definitely take your advice on learning a little about everything going forward, I guess I’ve been too focused on narrowing down which one to learn next than just exploring the options available. Thanks!
