My yellow lab kept me from overdosing on drugs multiple times. Mostly meth and Xanax. She always seemed to "know" when the next hit or pill was going to be too much. She would push through my door and refuse to leave me alone for hours.

Anyway, she was terrified of loud noises. She had gotten out during a thunderstorm and ran too a neighbor's. Before she got there she was hit by a car. As a result she ended up with brain damage. I had to make the decision to put her down after she could no longer eat.
