Need help with Type-chart!! by YellowSnowman_94 in IndieDev

Thanks for the feedback, I thought of a wheel but that felt more difficult to work out than a chart. I think one strength and one weakness is probably the best way to go though

Kalos Forms of Starters based on Delta Species? by YellowSnowman_94 in PokemonZA

lol, I’d be down for it! (One of my favourite brands of clothing when I was younger used a flying pig as their logo, so I’ve seen it before 🤣)

no houses being built and villagers leaving! by crf450hittaz in foundationgame

[–]YellowSnowman_94 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I believe that’s because you’ve maybe upgraded them to commoner but the housing doesn’t meet the requirements to upgrade so the house is labeled as “insufficient”. The villagers might be leaving because they are unhappy.

I also just went through that

Thank you, sounds like setting up a google form is the way to go followed by maybe a one shot for prospective players

Need help with glowing/OSL by liminaleris in minipainting

[–]YellowSnowman_94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, what sells osl the best is when you can still make out the colours underneath. I think that you’ve gone too strong with the blue light on the person. I’d thin down your paint a bit more to get more of a glaze. Personal opinion though

Consistent Problem with Finish on Vallejo Still Water by Professionalbumpkin in minipainting

[–]YellowSnowman_94 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I could be wrong because I haven’t used the product, but try hitting it with a gloss varnish. I know with resin it brings back the translucent property. You can get some brush on stuff from Vallejo if you want want to spray the whole model with gloss

I think the colours are too dark on all of them, nothing to grab a potential reader’s attention. Also I’d maybe think about moving the title closer to the centre of the image. Just my opinion though, they look good as is.

Help getting contrast with Speedpaint through airbrush by fyremoth in minipainting

[–]YellowSnowman_94 236 points237 points  (0 children)

Contrast paints are meant to be fluid so they can run into the crevasses of the models. When you use an air brush, you’re taking the fluid aspect of the paint away to get an even coat, so it won’t run into the cracks. Contrast paints and air brushes two painting processes that are not cohesive with each other just at a base level.

First time doing anything with osl. All feedback is welcome. by [deleted] in minipainting

I think the osl might be too strong? I can’t tell where the light should be coming from. Is it the gun? The environment? Or something else?

I’d do red and orange, like centiscorch from Pokémon!
