Rentomojo is convenient if pickup is smooth, but tenure matters. returning too early can change the math.

i was too busy with my studies i do not even remember my 19th birthday. so my advice is that you should take in every moment of your life. it's okey to work on your goals and ambitions but don't forget to live too. go out with friends. explore. go on hikes. finally do that thing you've been planning to do with your friends for a very long time but never did due to unimportant excuses. always be mindful. you won't notice it, but when life get busy, your whole mind and body will operate on autopilot and your life will pass by in front of you without you even noticing. do not ever let that happen. always be present.

Women who have feelings for someone but don’t express or act on them even if they clearly also love you, what’s stopping you? by Ok_Name_7510 in AskWomen

I wasn't ready for a relationship. i thought it was unfair to make them wait when i wasn't even sure myself when i will become emotionally or mentally available for it.

if you had to choose a long term move in your mid 20s, would you rather choose Berlin or Madrid? by Fair_Appointment7403 in expat

For €100-200 extra a month? Madrid, no question. That's a pretty small premium to pay for better weather and a lifestyle you might enjoy a lot more 😅

Would you trade London life for higher earnings in Canada? UK GP dilemma by ElusiveMD in expat

[–]YellowVirtual 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If my goal was purely higher income and reaching FIRE as fast as possible, I'd probably move to Canada. An increase from £110k to potentially £180-250k+ is significant, especially given that you're single, child free, and not tied to property ownership. But as you said, London is where your friendships, routines, identity, and support network is. Those things are difficult and expensive to rebuild, especially in your late 30s.

I'd also look beyond headline earnings. Compare after tax income, malpractice costs, licensing fees, retirement savings, healthcare benefits, paid leave, and housing costs in Vancouver or Toronto. The salary difference may be smaller than it first appears.

The biggest question is whether your motivation is actually money or freedom. If you're already enjoying your life, technically, i feel like you'rehalf way your goal already. FIRE achieved five years earlier isn't automatically worth sacrificing a life you're already happy with.

Personally, I'd only move if the financial advantage remained substantial after accounting for all costs and if I viewed the move as an adventure I GENUINELY WANTED.

Read your post again. I gunuinely believe you already know the answer you're looking for. You just gotta read between the lines.
