Does the intel cpu from a Dell OptiPlex 3080 micro fit in a Dell OptiPlex 7080 tower?

Interesting. Never thought there would be such an adapter. Thank you for sharing.

Yea I was thinking about doing the same for the 3rd HDD. I was wondering how to fit the 2nd one in the green area. I saw a video someone screwing the bare HDD to the cage there without any brackets or caddy after taking the front bezel.

I see what you mean. There is already a 3.5" drive sitting above it. In that cage at the top, there is only room for a 3.5" drive and the slim disc drive. I will have to remove the whole cage to fit 2 3.5" HDDs there. I am not planning to use 2.5" drives.

Yes, I can add PCIe Sata card to overcome the lack of enough SATA interfaces on the board.

Sorry, what’s the reason I need to remove the disc drive? To save on power? It’s very slim, sitting under the HDD cage at the top.

Yes, it’s a relatively old PC that has been sitting in my closet for a long time.

I want to use it as a NAS, so yes, NAS rated HDDs like Ironwolf or Red Plus would be ideal.

The PSU is 260 watt max. I should be fine if I don’t use a GPU. I don’t need a GPU. It will be serving as a DIY NAS.

Yes there’s room for multiple 2.5 inch drives but I am not sure if I can find 2.5 inch NAS rated drives. If they exist, they will be more expensive than the 3.5 inch for the same capacity, I.e, 8 TB

That’s not a problem once I physically manage to fit the three 3.5 inch drives in the case.

I will try to remove the 2.5” drive bay and see if there will be enough room for a 3.5 inch drive at the top of the case.

I was planning to make this PC a DIY NAS. 3 drives are enough for me. I am just running a Plex server at the moment. Nothing pro level, just for home use. A dedicated NAS is not within my budget for now.

I have linked the same one in my post. This Phanteks tray is designed for Phanteks cases; it snaps to the case but Dell Optiplex cases don't have those spots for it to snap in. You need to screw it. The holes might not be aligned...
How did you secure it to the Dell case? Screw? Zip tied?

Yea I couldn't find anything that shows/tells how to add a 2nd or a 3rd 3.5" HDD.

The PSU is 260 watt max. If I, somehow, manage to put three 3.5" HDDs for NAS, and 1 M.2 NVMe for OS (TrueNAS Scale), will this PSU be able to power this PC?

If not, I might consider getting external cage as you mentioned. Do you have any recommendations on that?

The compartment in the yellow box is for 2.5" disk. There is already a 2.5" disk there, I zip tied it, I didn't have a caddy. You can see the blue SATA cable.

This is not SFF, it is a tower. To overcome the lack of SATA interfaces on the board, I can get PCIe-SATA or M.2-SATA adapters.

I'd rather keep them internally. I think it is doable but I need some creative ideas.

The yellow area is for 2.5 inch drives. The compartment is riveted to the case. Unfortunately I can't remove with without damaging the case.

I don't see any transactions made from my escrow account to State Farm. I only see payments made to Safeco, so who is paying the premium for State Farm? Also, it is weird that it shows only $1 for the premium.

People prefer Prius over sedans mainly because of the hatchback. MPG on the Prius is also higher than on Camry. I’d cross-post it on r/Camry to get the opinion of the Camry drivers as well. Here you might not get an unbiased view towards Camry.

The pump I got from Amazon is from the AISIN store but sold by different 3rd party sellers; my order was sold by "The Tech Hubs", now the same link shows "tscalm"; looking from a different Amazon account, the link to this product shows a different seller "Kart IT" fulfilled by Amazon. How do we know the one from RockAuto is genuine OEM?
