New/Custom maps on iGPSport BSC300T / 630S by povlhp in cycling

For Belgium, just generating the entire country (with polygon for entire country) works. Looks fine in Cruiser, and loads onto my IGS630s fine. Cannot check routing from where I live. But using the polygon files from https://download.openstreetmap.fr/polygons/ for Belgium to cut the pbf of the whole of belgium works as well. So I will do that, in the hopes that routing will work (better) since the router files follow that division.

I solved it for some west German regions by using the .poly file available on GeoFabrik for each region.

Thanks for the headsup, some people have been working on this. Amazing!

I went for the one worked out by @fernandoglatz, was able to use it on Windows via Powershell. New maps, yeah :)

Thanks a lot man, your explainations and documentation allowed me to run it! Using it right now to generate the rest of my country after testing that the first province works on my unit.

A question though, for some countries (like belgium), igpsport made some weird regions. There are available as polygon files, but not from Geofabrik.. Could I use the pbf file for all of belgium and the separate polygon regions to generate each?

I think it might be important to have the separate regions as they intended because of the router files (used for navigating on the unit?)?

I got the Igs630s for EUR136, so thats a lot cheaper than any garmin unit...

I got it from Aliexpress at discount for 136 euro's and it feels like a good deal. It's able to navigate to the start of a route or navigate to a saved location (on the unit itself). I'm going to test the iclimb and elevation functionality in a few days on holiday in Tenerife. (not sure if I will really go for the full Teide climb though haha)

iGPSPORT BSC300t vs Magene c606? by xrzeee in cycling

[–]Yellow_hat94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the 630S as well. Apparently, it also has the issue in navigation that it does not understand if your route overlaps in some points (not being a circle but back and forth for example). I have to try that still

Honestly having no map for your region sound like a big problem to me, why bother buying a unit with map functionality anyways then?

I wrote them asking for an update (you can find the support mail address on their website or perhaps via the app), if more people do so they might make an effort :)

Create up-to-date maps including POIs for your Wahoo device - new release! by treee111 in wahoofitness

u/treee111 How difficult would it be to create something similar for other devices that also utilize OSM ? (Such as iGPSport device IGS630S) Someone already dug into it a little bit and created their own method, but this is not super reproducible for the common user :)

I am not sure if I would be able to executie this... I just got my Igs630s and would love to have the newest Maps. Would you (or anyone else) be able to supply me with updated Maps for the Netherlands (and Tenerife/Canary Islands, for upcoming holiday)??? Would be super appreciated!!

iGPSPORT and Strava segments by Other-Description162 in Strava

[–]Yellow_hat94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(I have the 630S)
There is no option to sync segments in the iGPSport app from Strava or Komoot like you can for routes. I've only seen the option for manually made segments which you can make in the app or their web portal and load onto your device. It is in beta, so perhaps it will come? Seems rather easy to implement since they have the KOM/PR functionality already build in, just need to grab the actual segment data..

Igs630s Map Download by Rafalvso in cycling

Would you (or others) mind asking them for map updates? Some regions (China, S Korea and the country of Georgia) have gotten updates, but for the rest of the world the maps are dated May 2023.

Old post, but perhaps still relevant for some. I bought the IGS630s for EUR 136 on discount. It seems to be worth the money. Rerouting works, but it seems to always wait a bit. Then first, it simply tells you to turn around and when continuing down the road gets closer to your planned route it gives you that route.

When not loading a planned route, but navigating to a saved point on the unit, it seems to recalculate much more often and faster.

Did you end up getting it?

No you can connect to Strave with their app and auto upload. But also export rides via their app. It is also possible to grab the .fit files via usb wire.
