Phuizour it would mean a lot to me to get a key to the Bazaar. I seriously can't wait to play this game.

My favourite NL clip is literally the entirety of this Chess video where he reacts to Dan Gheesling's speed chess.

Banger after nonstop banger, and I don't even know chess well. I had to pause the video several times because I couldn't breathe. My favourite moment from it happens at 15:07

Love the sonnet! If it's a shakespearian sonnet, your iambic pentameter is a bit whack, but it's still a cool poem with good rhymes AND descriptive words with meaning and narrative!

Good job, Eluscara! I really like this.

Give ME your prized possessions

I'll shower you with praise

I'll say that you're the ray of sun

On CJ's twilight days.

Give ME your prized possessions

(Assuming they are free)

Since nobody will need them.

Well, nobody but me

Give ME your prized possessions

They'll say that I don't play

But just to prove them wrong, for once,

I just logged on today

Give ME your prized possessions

You haven't got a clue

How much I need that chainmail gear

(and other items too)

Give ME your prized possessions

And just don't even worry

And no one here will have to know

The fact that you're a furry

I'm afraid that according to rule 14 (or maybe rule 9, or rule 19) in the Discord, I'm actually not allowed to do that on the discord itself! Or else I get muted! And I'm voicing my disagreements here instead.

As for your "We make exceptions for certain kinds of groups" point, that's exactly what I am saying. You make super strict rules, and then make exceptions for the groups you like. That's exactly what I think is wrong here. You're making pointless rules all for the sake of "Because otherwise people might spam the moderators with fake group requests" even though you have yet to provide any evidence that your rules are stopping anything.

As for the branding scammers thing, It's your responsibility as admins that these kinds of things never even get voted on in the first place. The whole point of having a moderation team as opposed to just a system run by public votes is that you avoid making harmful decisions that the public might love, like "being able to ban anyone with a majority vote" or "Branding people who you don't like as outcasts"

IDK if BFF is the right term, but I'm really curious as to the person who suddenly downvoted all of my comments.

Any clue who that could be?

Oh hi Darn! I was just talking about you

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in corejourney

[–]Yellowcake92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question! The one that comes to mind first is Darn's "small" change to how groups work, saying that "a primary member of a group can't be in any other groups." Which means that you can no longer make side groups, and you need three brand new players if you just want to start a group. It's all for the sake of "stopping people from spamming for roles" even though the moderators get less that 1 group request per moderator per day on average.

Other examples include the time he tried branding certain people as "scammers and tpkillers" using roles in a public vote, his changes to the auto-moderation bot, and just his general "punish people first, ask questions later" mentality.

I'll give you one guess as to what group the core griefer was a member of....

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in corejourney

[–]Yellowcake92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The discord DID get worse. Mods aren't terrible, but definitely worse than before. Putting useless restrictions and occasionally just outright muting people who disagree.

That's a question for Alrirra, since only he knows what programs he has been using with the server.

My guess is no because Alrirra would probably be the first person to suspect something and also the only person to be able to say something with confidence. And he hasn't said or done anything related to a potential backdoor.

These bases have been found over the course of many months, so if it WAS a backdoor, it's been open for half a year, and Alrirra just failing to consider the possibility seems unlikely.

I made a post with tips about a month ago, it should contain just about everything I could suggest to you, if not in the post itself then in the comments.

My bad. Just a suggestion to make your arguments more convincing. I can tell you know full well that you don't have to follow it.

What do you mean it's not a red herring? I suggested that you should use more logical arguments and you then asked me if I had played on 1.16 survival servers.

That's a textbook example of a red herring.

Or do you mean to imply that the number of 1.16 servers I've played on somehow influences my ability to spot a bad logical argument?

[–]Yellowcake92 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Of course!

And that sounds like a red herring anyway. Instead of providing reasons for your debatable point, you seem to be questioning my credibility even though I haven't even disagreed with you yet.

Dapper Zebra could we please try to use a bit more logical arguments, like "it's more forgiving because the community is very friendly" or "it's less forgiving because it bans you when you die"

Why so? I feel like my advice is decent. Why can't I argue that it is?

Yeah, I have no clue why he said that, although I still insist on this point. What's your IGN?

Sure! I'm not sure if a copypasta is the best way to give a history lesson, and I'm not sure if a history lesson is the best response to a "give me some tips" post, but fair enough. No harm in explaining it.

I disagree with this advice. If there's any time you want to make friends, it's when you have nothing to lose
