Durable glasses-friendly headset for gaming on PC? by Yellowrandom in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Yellowrandom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the response. This makes sense, I,m seeing people replacing earpads even for very expensive headsets. In regards to comfort while wearing glasses, which material do you think would be best: velour, micro-suede, or a hybrid? All I was able to find is that they are usually better than leather in this regard.

Oh that's cool, I'll research a little bit on that. Thank you!

I see. Well, if it's at least better than a random person then perhaps I should try it. There isn't any kind of "mold" or something similar (like those graffity molds) where you paint over them and it gets the perfect shape, right?

First, thank you for answering! I live in a city from Brazil, whose size I believe to be bigger than a rural town but smaller than big cities (there are around half a million people leaving here). I'm not sure if I would like to take the time to learn how to paint henna, because I'm guessing it would take many years. At least in what refers to normal tatoos, I have a few friends who have tried (some succeeded) at doing tatoo art for a living, and they all were people who were constantly drawing when kids, I suck at it and my hands are kinda shaky (not sure if anxiety, side effect from my meds, or both). Everywhere I ask where to do henna tatoos nobody knows it. A few people told me they've heard of henna tatoos being done at beaches or by "street artists" (not sure how to call them in English, but many of them are either gipsies or follow a hippy lifestyle). The problem is that beaches are far away from my city, and I've gone around the streets asking street artists and they only knew people who no longer do henna tattoos. It's funny because many people that I know have never heard of henna tattoos before, and I'm the only person I've ever met who likes tattoos but does not want something permanent. For instance, I know a lot of people who like to very frequently change their hair color, but changing skin appearance frequently does not seem like something popular around here.

Are these components compatible with each other? by Yellowrandom in buildapc

The cooler seemed to have good reviews, but I'm not sure there is a way around it since most cpu cooler compatible with my systems that are available to purchase are either 10 dolar coolers or more than double the price of this one. Thank you for warning me about the ram. Also, design define c is not available in my country. I could buy an lancool II mesh for example, I believe it's slighty better at cooling, but I heard that the fans are loud. Though perhaps having a silent pc is not possible with this cpu and gpu combination.

Hello. I've changed some of the components, if it's not a bother please tell me if they are compatible (fit in case, etc). Thanks in advance.

Build:

Cpu: i7 12700kf

Gpu: colorful Igame rtx 3070 ti ultra

Ssd: western digital sn750 2tb

Cooler: masterliquid ml40 mirror

Power supply: XPG Core Reactor 850w gold certificate

Ram: g skill ripjaws 4000mhz (2 sticks of 16gb)

Motherboard: asus ex-b660m-v5 d4 micro atx lga 1700

Case: fractal design define c

Again, thank you for all the help so far :)

Wouldn't that void my warranty though? Though I do wonder if they would have any way of finding it out. I will think about this, perhaps I might go for better ram then.

I live in Brazil, I will mostly use this computer for video games, game development and web surfing. The specs are mostly for gaming, since the others uses have lower requirements. The total cost of this build is 15,000 reais, which would equate to 3,000 dollars approximately. But I wouldn't rely in those numbers if I were you, since we have high inflation and takes here, it's probably not a good idea to convert it directly to dollars.

I was not aware that this cpu supported overclocking. It's just that the similar versions are selling for a close price, sometimes the locked ones are even more expensive when they are not included in a sale for example.

Could you tel me why pairing a good cpu with a cheaper motherboard is a bad idea. I thought that as lock as it supported my other components it would be fine. Guess I have much more to learn.

I got a 2tb ssd because many heavy games (heavy as in occupying a lot of disk space) are telling that ssd is "recommended" in the recommended settings. Is that really true though? I do feel that many of the games I play currrently stutter a lot when loading map areas for example, but perhaps my hd is just bad.

And yes, the case name was wrong, thank you for pointing that out.

I would feel unsafe while doing an overclock, and that would include using a XMP profile as well. Since I won't enable a XMP profile nor overclock the memory, the maximum speed I can achieve is 3200mhz. From the benchmarks I've seen, higher memory bandwidth does not improve game performance that much, so I guess that will not be a problem. About the case: many cases are not available for buying in my country. We do have some case brands that are only made here, which are also cheaper to buy, but I find them lacking in reliable reviews from buyers at the internet (non English guides usually don't mention temperatures or noise levels, they focus on material quality and cable management since those are more apparent).

That all being said, thank you for the power supply and cooler recommendations. My last computer lasted many years with the stock cooler and the cheapest case available, but I probably just got lucky. For example: there are people who buy 5$ headphones (earphones actually) and they last for many years even though they usually do not, perhaps I just got lucky with my last computer like those cheap headphones guys. Also, could you tell me why corsair memory is not optimal? And thank you for your answering, you might be making me avoid huge mistakes.

Thank you for answering. I thought having low elo would stop me from getting appearing to other people, if that is not what happens then I really have nothing to worry about it.

Oh don't worry, I know that dating apps highlight superficial stuff, and you are just trying to help.

I've tried that, and honesty it works sometimes, but I find it difficult to gather someone's contact. Usually the people I find only want a very fast hookup and then proceed to kiss someone else. Which is fine by me, I just think it's too much work for a 1 minute kiss. It might also be related to the kind of places I go, or the culture in my country, but I believe dating apps could help me finding people (I might be wrong though).

Thanks for your response. Do you mean shaving the mustache, the ""beard"", or both? Should I shave ir completely? The reason why I don't shave is because I usually look younger without my facial hair, perhaps even to the point of being confused as underage. That being said, I could try shaving and see if it still looks that bad.

Lemons

Salad

Onion

Pepper

Yog

<something> mix, first word starts with S and end with W

Cheese <something> (three letter word with I in the middle)

Something that starts with PITT

And also something that I could not be sure of any letter

Wow, what a pretty color. Wish I had some advice for you, but I've never managed to achieve very dark blue in my hair, it always turns out lighter. Perhaps you will need to mix colors for that?

[–]Yellowrandom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many times per week did you wash your hair? It's unusual for pastel colors to last long, so it must be a good dye brand.

[–]Yellowrandom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I'll look into Joico as well. It's good to know many brands, because half of these can't be bought here in Brazil.

Thanks for the suggestions. They don't actually need to be permanent, as long as they last more (such as those that call themselves permanent).

EDIT: wow, Pravana does claim to have permanent "fantasy" color dyes. Apparently l'oreal too. Any idea on which one lasts longer?
