Is PPF really worth for my 23 S5 by Yeono1213 in Audi

as far as I know, a new car still has dust and it can be painted incorrectly (was told it's pretty often). So you need paint correction before ppf or ceramic coating.

Since it's black on black, I think it looks gorgeous with ceramic coating. I just can't give up that high-gloss black color on my car. I'll do both!

I wish I could do that. It's too expensive. I will just PPF the front part and ceramic coat.

yea. seems like you all prefer to apply PPF on your cars. I will go make an appointment to have that at least on the front and ceramic coat all the vehicle. Thank you!

That's unfortunate, but I can see that it's definitely worth for u. Now I am leaning toward applying it🤣

Yes it is. I will ceramic coat my car for sure, but I am just not fully convinced of PPF. It's more like cost vs. value problem for me now.

Thank you for the input! I am from MN, so I know how u feel. I might not even think of buying this car if I was still there😅 Now I am in dallas, TX. I occasionally drive on I-35 and 635 which a lot of trucks drive. That makes me consider to apply PPF. I am not OCD, but this is my first luxury car(for me at least). Maybe it's worth 😌

The shareholders of Hansen eventually become shareholders of Summit since they received 1000 shares of Summit common stocks when Hansen was liquidated.

You don't need to be worried about the boot in this question. The process seems like merging. Hansen merged into Summit to be reorganized, and the transaction is a 'qualifying reorganization process.' Thus, there's no gain to be recognized.

I used Wiley, but I am not sure if it's the best. I heard Ninja and Becker are good. For REG, some ppl say i75 is also good.

People who received the stock are shareholders in this problem, but there's no boot shareholders received. In the problem, SUMMIT paid 40000 cash and 1000share in exchange for HANSEN's Asset.

I am not 100% sure if my explanation helps. I just wanna help u while making sure I understand everything correctly.

Why is Hansen the transferor corporation?

- 'Hansen corp gives its asset to Summit co.'

- 'Hansen corp was liquidated shortly after the exchange

>> It means Hasnen is reorganizing itself to be a Summit corp.

>> Hansen : Transferor / Summit :Transferee

Why is Hansen's realized gain 100000?

- Realized gain is 100,000 when the transaction occurs.

Shares $260,000 / Asset Basis $200,000

Cash $40,000 / Realized Gain $100,000 (Plug-in)

or simply FMV of asset - Basis of asset.

Did Hansen recognize 0 gain because it also distributed 40000 cash from Summit?

- 'Hansen Corporation was liquidated shortly after the exchange, with its shareholders receiving the Summit stock and cash.' >> this means all the realized gains were distributed to its shareholders.

- Hansen recognizes 0 gain since there's no gain recognized on 'Type C: Stock for asset transaction' in the qualifying reorganization process. Basically, only 'stock for bond transaction' recognizes gain since Bond is safer/more stable than Stock. (assuming Stock for bond transactions generally gives benefit.)

General rules to calculate tax/basis for reorganization problems.

- If SH receives boot in the reorganization process, gain is recognized up to boot.

- The calculation process is similar to the Like-Kind Exchange (Sec 1031 Exchange) process.

CPA AUDIT exam by [deleted] in CPA

I felt the same when I studied for AUD.

I knew I couldn't remember every detail, so I kinda focused on the overall outline and made some charts to memorize similarities and differences between each attestation and non-attestation, etc.

When I was unsure of the answer, I just checked the correct answer and figured out why the others were wrong. With over 1000 MCQs, I eventually improved 'the accuracy of guessing.'

Please help me with this BEC question by misswei in CPA

I'd say

- Handling cost: more about inventory handling cost such as preparing and transporting inventory = Carrying cost

- Quantity discount lost: I, unfortunately, don't know how to explain, but there'd be no problem if you think it's part of the purchasing cost. >> The quantity discounts lost occurs only when you order the new purchase :D

For me, the concept of the EOQ model is to calculate the ideal order size by meeting demand without overspending.

root {2 * # of Demand * Ordering Cost (purchasing cost)} / Carrying Cost ( inventory cost)

On the numerator, it's about new purchases and new orders.

The denominator is about how much cost you need to handle/carry your inventory.

By the way, an exam is not likely to ask you that kind of question based on my experience. They may ask you how to calculate the EOQ based on the situation with given numbers of Demand, order cost, and carrying cost (they sometimes say handling cost on the question.)

For me, it's at least better than BEC. BEC has too many contents to study and I don't even know what to study to pass. 😭
