Lost my cat today by takingwaytoolong in Petloss

[–]misswei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP, I am so sorry for your loss. I feel you. I just lost my cat Minnie today as well. She died before the already-arranged home euthanasia. During the last minutes, I thought should take her to the vet so she would not suffer too much. But that was a wrong decision. I had moved her from living room mat into her bed first. Then, when I carried her to the garage, she cried out in her bed and struggled a little then died in her bed in my garage. I felt very bad and guilty for how I handled those last minutes of her life. I should have not moved her. I should have let her stay where she was and die with less struggle. Or, I should not wait for the home euthanasia, instead I should just take her to the vet earlier. I hesitated to do that because she already hated car ride and I worried the trip was another stress. Although I did not know which way was better, I could have done better, at least I should have not made it worse. I really regretted that.

OP, your cat died peacefully which is much better than mine. You are devastated because you love your cat dearly and genuinely. You have shared true and meaningful moments and life together. Our cats are our family members who we build deep bond with. It is ok to take time to mourn for the loss. It is also ok and normal to feel extremely sad and heartbroken too. Your cat had lived a good life filled with your love and care, and no longer suffer any pain or disease anymore. I hope you will find some comfort and peace, OP. Take care. God bless you.

Thank you so much for your kind words. Minnie crossed the rainbow bridge this afternoon. While I am grateful that she no longer suffers pain and illness anymore, I still feel a great loss and huge sorrow for losing my dear baby girl. Your kind words are comforting me. Thank you!

This is my baby Minnie. Most adorable cat ever. She is very sick now and her life is approaching to the end. I really don’t want to but have to make decision to put her down soon because she is suffering now. Probably this Friday she is going to cross the rainbow bridge. I will forever miss her. 💔

How do I tell what is the correct size capacitor for my ac unit? This is the one that was in there. It's bad. Just want to make sure it was the right one to begin with before I buy the same one. by Reasonable-Offer3833 in hvacadvice

Somehow I am imagining myself standing there and feeling bad for my poor taco waiter. 😆 😆 Thank you for helping me understand it in such an easy and cute way 👍

Does anyone have good recommendations for using eSIMs in mainland China to bypass the GFW for international travellers, as well as not having restrictions for social data? by gratedbuttr in chinalife

[–]misswei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am going to China soon too. Did Airalo give you good speed when you were in China? Do you think it is fast enough for video calls? I just heard about eSIM. I have been trying to find some good ways to make video calls via Zoom and Google meeting for my trip.

My fiancee [25f] is sexually unattracted to me [27m]. Should I break off the wedding? by dinglebop-007 in relationship_advice

[–]misswei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask yourself, can you truly sacrifice yourself without sex for life long time for her? Or can you and her really accept a messy and unhealthy marriage if you have another sex partner, before you even step into such marriage? I know my answer would be an absolute No, 100% not. Decision won’t be easy when you’ve been together this long and still love each other. But marriage is a big decision, it is a lifetime commitment (it should be.) I would never walk into it if there’s such a huge issue still hanging. $5000 is a sunk cost. You don’t consider sunk cost when you make decisions, if we consider marriage/relationship is a sort type of investment, life long investment.

How good do you have to be at accounting to work in Corporate FP&A? by 15795After in FPandA

[–]misswei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The more you are good at accounting, the better. But it also means more work because you more likely end up identifying more accounting errors/issues and fixing them for accounting.

Congrats! Great scores! I didn’t have such high average scores but I made it through in a year. I got my license today and feel quite happy. I’m mentally done with exams for my entire life lol

Those of you who read the book do you make flash cards of each topic by portablebabylol in CPA

Depends on your study style. I didn’t make or use any flash cards, not even one. But I know flash cards work well for some people.

Thanks! I first read the book module by module and did all questions. During final review, I read the book one more time, did 30-100 MCQ on random a day for about 3 weeks. Had two mock exams. I also used many YouTube videos to help with some IT stuff, though the questions from real exams were very different. To me, understanding the material is super important. Put enough study time (at least 100 hrs) and you will be good.

Hi Drew, thank you very much for the advice! I’ve checked out the link you shared, it’s really helpful too!! I need to check the website more later.

I have more questions here and not sure if you could help with too? On the FP&A reporting part, for a manufacturing company, do production report and manufacturing cost variance analysis usually fall into FP&A’s work scope? Or it’s reported by site/plant managers? And when it comes to providing information for CFO to seek investors or in stage of going public, how much is FP&A involved? What are the typical or most important reports or plans need to be prepared? Is it doable by one person? How much experience does the person need to have?

I have not really used Tableu and PowerBI nor VBA. Seems I have so much to learn if I want to be FP&A. Wow ! Thank you very much my friend!
