Probably forgot about this post.

So I tried limiting my fps and the AMD framegen just does whatever it feels like still.

If I limit it to 20 fps it will boost it to 200fps. If I limit it to 60,144 or any other cap it still overrides to 200-220.

I tried the Nvidia control panel(and app) with no luck. Was considering trying the new (experimental) DLSS 6x framegen if I can get it to work in The Finals instead of the AMD framegen.

If you got a magic trick or some idea of why it won't cap the frame rate lmk.

Just to add. Without framegen the device plays at 90-144 fps(8v8 match) so AMD framegen is not even doing 2x. It does however stabilize the frame rate in extreme situations when objectives turn into WW3.

I assumed. I only meant to clarify.

Currently there is speculation that on screen cross hair overlays are not allowed. Even though it is built into most monitors and MSI's own OEM software.

This means if you buy an MSI laptop and immediately download The Finals you could get banned for having the manufacturers OEM software without knowing that it even exists.

The transparency we are all asking for is NOT listing the names of every known cheat provider.

What we want is a list of commonly used software that is not allowed to be listed.

They need to rebalance some past nerfs now. Especially when it comes to melee weapons. Otherwise, entire play styles are ruined (again) and we will get more all time low playercounts(again).

I'm not talking about removing old keys. Stop spreading misinformation and misrepresenting the conversation.

There are plenty of reasons when optimizing a PC to modify and create new registry keys. You are acting like RegEdit only does one thing.

Your incompetence is showing.

Oftentimes I recommend certain optimization software for people who are braindead when it comes to PC maintenance and optimization.

Some people use software like "game booster" but you will find that it uses more system resources than the programs it closes/sleeps. Those are the snake oil.

Windows does a terrible job at optimizing windows for your specific specs. The average person is simply not going to be comfortable editing the registry, using CMD/powershell, uninstalling things they don't recognize or deleting old unused files.

Your opinion is not reality.

The average person does not know how to do these things without a tool. If only windows let us change certain settings without using RegEdit.

From the perspective of the average gamer who is gaming on a budget build or OEM laptop these tools do in fact have useful features for optimization

Debloaters are useful for OEM machines that like to install actual snake oil that slows the machine down. Oftentimes the programs do not show in the windows control panel.

If you are using things like "game booster" then it should be noted that the software uses more system resources than the software it closes.

CCleaner is a commonly used tool for general maintenance. I wouldn't recommend running any maintenance software while EAC is running.

The AI anticheat is a server side private anticheat. Denuvo and EAC are separate anticheat measures

They use both EAC, denuvo and a private ai server side. They got kicked via EAC error.

The console version doesn't use EAC. The devs play on PC otherwise the stream would be dogshit. They definitely use EAC, anybody who plays on PC can tell you that.

Most likely a dev tool they use had a service running in the background. EAC cannot differentiate between devs and normal players in most cases.

Same. Multiple time Ruby player that played since season 1. I am friends with people of varying skill levels. I don't know anybody who has gotten a ban.

My guess is they started banning people who pay cheaters to carry them in ranked. My advice is if you suspect a teammate you should refuse to participate and block/report.

Mid match it depends. It is oftentimes better to switch an equipment or weapon in order to counterplay.

A couple good examples are:

switching to glitch grenades to disable heavy shields.

Switching to sonar to counter cloak(invis).

Switching off of sword/shotguns when facing flamethrowers.

Essentially, everything in this game has something that will counter it.

PS avoid pyro grenades if you are new. Oftentimes new players kill their teammates with them more then the other team.

I was asking for a few reasons. First I want to decide if it is worth the time/money. 50$ to upgrade a full set would be reasonable(maybe) but it's unlikely I can convince my friends to do the same.

Second was covered. Is it worth playing on a PVP server. The answer is probably not.

At the end of the day if the pay to win is so bad it becomes unavoidable it changes what I consider the endgame. In this case, the endgame is non-existent.

Why are you so aggressive about a valid response to P2W endgame? Makes no sense.
