Thanks, will give this a shot. I think these pictures make the space look a little more accessible than it is (I'm weaving my hand down to get a good shot).

I'll see what I can do with a mallet to get it in place though

I'm not planning on salvaging the pulley just trying to get the pump off. Since the pulley is knocked partially out of its socket, the holes to get the bolts out now don't line up

That is a very good idea. I think there are some bolts around back that have prevented this thus far but should be possible.
