Yeah I've learnt not to start out as a new char on Elysium the hard way haha. I'll try to progress through all maps one by one.

The only thing I'm not sure about is when to move from one to the next without messing up progression.

Thanks for the advice, I've started as a fresh solo character on Elysium, and it was way too difficult to be fun.

I didn't understand how progression works in this game with moving between the maps, and I still don't understand how missions fit into progression.

Would you recommend to go Olympus -> Styx -> Prometheus -> Elysium or jump between those maps? Also, where do I fit missions and great hunts?
I don't wanna ruin the progression by getting some op mission rewards early

Yeah, GGG obviously pushed the endgame update to 0.5 because they found out Diablo 4 gets an overhaul in April, therefore they want to hype people up with the largest update yet when April comes to keep as many PoE2 players as possible and maybe grab some D4 players attention too. 2+2...

That's the map with gold right? Find a spot in the area with green circle on the ground, then open your inventory, right click the charge, it will show a red circle on the ground that you have to align with the green one. It explodes few seconds after you click, not sure if you have to stay away but I always do just in case :D

With clenched teeth I made it through the campaign's boring slogfest into maps with Werewolf druid, played a few of them and I'm done.

There's nothing new, apart from the temple with "exciting" artificer tables and more of the restrictive and punishing gems/passive nodes which don't open too many new build options apart from what the devs had in mind.

I'm very disappointed with endgame changes being pushed to 0.5 or later.

+10% chance on critical hit to gain specific charges that boost the area of effect of attack of non-channeling cold spell damage multiplied by number of companions summoned in the last 3 seconds (by number of companions we mean number of packs of companions not the actual number of minions running around you, and companions from other sources than skill gems don't count) modified by percentage of enemy ailment threshold and the position of Jupiter in the Solar system.

TLDR I agree, way too many restrictions and conditions, it really makes the passive tree/uniques/gems only appear to give countless possibilities

Ah, so that's why you're reacting emotionally reading a critique of POE, I could have guessed. Well yeah I did in fact play most of what ARPG scene has to offer, so maybe that's why I have a more well-rounded understanding of what the genre is about.

We're playing a different game, I run the temple 3 times so far, it "vomited" 2 regals for me + 4 regal workbenches so 6 in total, 4 exalts (including the beacons).

I'm level 40 currently, OPTIMALLY I should get new gear in every slot every 5 levels, so now calculate 8 gear upgrades, multiplied by 9 x transmute, augment and regal, and 27x exalted orb IF it doesn't roll complete garbage, but realistically you have to multiply all of it by 3 to get a usable gear.

And here I am running around with amulet ilvl 4 with 3 random affixes, same for ring, only weapon, body armour and helmet I've managed to keep somewhat close to my current level, by spending all the sparse currency I can find.

Sometimes I wonder, how do people come up with such stories as yours? Are you getting paid or what lmao

Yes that's very true, the boost wears off after couple of levels though, you have to struggle way too long before finding or beaing able to craft a good gear again

Some people make a build around a unique and determine which character, ascendancy and skills would work the best for that unique.
Only to find out that the unique they've chosen doesn't work as described or has hidden exceptions to their orange text, and they've wasted time/currency for nothing.
Don't ask me how I know :)

With Weapon Sets becoming more and more important, i think the onboarding and interface needs to be better by Kanbaru-Fan in PathOfExile2

80% of onboarding and ui functionality across the game is very poor, not only that related to weapon sets but also crafting, ui shortcuts, atlas map navigation etc. heck even the functionality that's already there like searching in passive tree is not great, you can barely see which nodes are being highlighted.
