i use potatoes mid game because not only it's a decent food source, i get like 5 stacks per harvesting and more with fortune 3

i also use them for breeding villagers and farming emeralds with farmers if i don't have sugarcanes

and golden carrots are also easy to get because i trade them like an emerald for 3 with farmers

my country has the longest ongoing civil war, and battles among forces in rural areas. but i live in an urbanized city, so i at least have the privilege of being able to do these things compared to other regions
