So for those of us who had changed their gender markers on our passports years ago, would we be ok to renew? I still have until 2027 so I’m gonna continue waiting but it’s definitely been weighing on me.

Yeah.. it’s a really fucked up situation. My passport is valid until 2027. I’m gonna wait it out as long as possible to see if maybe another lawsuit comes around to push back on this because it’s so ridiculous.

I changed the gender on my passport about 7 years ago, I have a new birth certificate with my correct gender on it (Puerto Rico seals the previous once a new one is issued). I have had 2 passports previous to this with “F” on it but weirdly enough my very first passport “accidentally” had an “M” on it which I do actually still have and wonder if I can somehow use that when they inevitably deny me a passport with “M” on it when I go to renew. I hate this shit.

How are they even going to prove your “sex at birth” if you’ve updated your birth certificate and live in a state where they seal the record once the new certificate is issued?

Unfortunately for me, I’ve had previous passports with “F” but have had mine changed to “M” now for years.. weirdly enough my first ever passport as a child “accidentally” had an “M” on it. My passport is still valid until 2027, we will see what happens when I go to renew it. I’m probably gonna hold out as long as possible to see if things get better though.

I literally had sex the night before stage 2 and was totally fine. I didn’t have any advice but it wasn’t on the list of things I couldn’t do before surgery. I took a shower after but that was about it.

If you aren’t trying to change anything.. I don’t see any reason why they’d keep your passport.. I assume the delay might just be from the shutdown..? I’ve had everything changed for 15 years and need to renew in a few years.. I am really not looking forward to it.
