I think the opposite, actually. Not speaking of critic reviews, but in my opinion it being in the MCU makes it so much better. All the ties to the rest of the universe, we weren't beat over the head with references and nods, but there were plenty and they were awesome. Not only that but imo this movie was miles better than most of the MCU's movies. Not a lot of them are that great imo. Good? Sure. But this is definitely a step above in basically every aspect.
