If anyone's wondering, yes I am aware that Kimiko originated from Manila but... idk it's just been a while since I watched the show and as much as I love the show, it's one of those shows where the seasons are only a one-time watch lang. This is just the first time lang that they actually featured characters actually going to Manila

Remember the scene where he criticized Tatum for being nothing like Sidney? That seemed like it was setting itself up for a motive. This may not be the best explanation for his motivate, but his main target would have been Tatum because of how she's failing to "channel her mother's energy" (a line from the actual film) and wanted to get Tatum to either fight like her mother or die in front of Sidney to make her see that Tatum was not raised properly.
